Well, Argento  was invited to direct a short in the "Masters of Horror" short film antology, together with some classic horror directors.

Fulci was NOT invited.

Thus, Argento is the better director.

What the hell?

That doesn't prove a damn thing, just because a director was asked to contribute to an anthology.

When comparing directors, it is hard to say which ones are better, as each have their own styles. Fulci and Argento are quite different in their styles, not to mention that Argento often had better backing and the ability to select his work, whereas Fulci often ended up working with what he got handed to him.

Hits versus misses, Argento scores higher than Fulci, but Argento has his dogs too. Fulci, however, was probably more influential when it came to others trying to copy his style.

ROTFLMFAO!!!!

Dude.....please tell me that your posts on this board are jokes.  Come on, please please please please tell me that.

Fulci is dead!  The man died in '96.  You can't exactly have a dead guy direct a short film.

1-I was not joking. I didn't know the guy was dead until you told me so.

2-And what's so great about him anyway? He made a career out of directing zombie movies. Big whoop. ANYONE can make a zombie movie.

On the other hand, it takes a true genius to make the movies Dario Argento made.

Perhaps best known for his zombie movies, they were a small part of his filmography. He made more comedies than zombie movies, many more.

Are you sure you're not joking?

i'll admit, fulci was a schlockmeister. however, he was perhaps one of the best, most relentless shlockmeisters ever.

argento, on the other hand, is a real genius. however, it seems like he banks on that reputation far too much, as his recent films have been... well... lackluster.
