CAVALRY COMMAND (1963) - This is a good one starring
John Agar in the Philippines as a Cavalry Sgt. in 1902. This unique film written and directed by
Eddie Romero of Philippine horror genre fame. It's about the transformation of the Philippines after Spanish rule. If your into your history and love the Philippines then this is a film for you. I really enjoyed it. Bought it for .50 cents in a double pack for $1. It's worth $5 to $10 to me. Part of the film may have been shot in Fort Santiago in Manila, not sure as there may be more Spanish forts with similiar interiors. I went in Fort Santiago in 1989 during my 2nd visit to the Philippines. They have real dungeons where the Spainards in prisioned and tortured people. The film is more about good will and the great relationship the Philippines and American has had for more than a century.
