After getting a tad restless with no new short film in the works, I've been playing around in my mind the idea of a semi-documentary/travel short which I thought I'd share.

Actually I got the idea from a post from here which I thought of recently which basically had someone mention that they were wondering where the good 'B-Movie' action was in a particular city they were visiting at the time.

So of course I got to thinking of making a 'Find Local Cult/B-Movies' film in which I'll explore my city and immediate area of what options there are for the cult movie lover in my fair town, and perhaps if possible, gather a couple of interviews here and there, possibly throw in a bit of cult cinema history if I can be bothered doing the required amount of research and maybe throw in some B-movie 'recreations' where a few friends and I will recreate stupidly fun crap movies for good measure.

There's a few cinemas around here and a few 'special' cinematic events such as a film festival or whatnot, which would have dealings with the depraved world of cult movies, which I'm sure I could get some info on, so that all should be well and good [though I'm an impatient lad who may not last the time needed to do research.]  I just wonder whether it's a good enough topic to devote to a short film.

I'm bringing this up because I was also playing with the idea of seeing what people thought of this as almost a series, with perhaps various other members of this board making their own short doco's about the good places to go in their own towns in terms of cult/crap cinema.  Of course this is just a hobby/interest for me so it's nothing too flashy [well from my end at least], but I thought the idea in itself would be interesting to put out there regardless [especially since I doubt I have the time to be able to get this organised anyways]

But at the least it's a good way to keep the mind in a state exercise right?

Thoughts?
