Did anyone see a movie entitled Millenium?  It starred Kris Kristofferson and it involved from the future going back in time.  They would take people from airplanes that were about to crash.  Although I have certainly seen worse films, this one is still a bad movie.

One plot hole is: if you are going to go back in time and take people who are going to die anyway so you can bring them to the future, why just pick the 20th century?  people also died on ships trying to crossing the ocean.  they could even take people from the Titantic.

This is a strange coincidence.  Kevin Karsten recently emailed me about this movie too, just out of the blue.  I am going to get to it sooner or later, probably sooner as it has been on my mind from time to time.

If I remember correctly, the reason they grabbed the people from airline disasters was that the time and location was well documented.  Fits with the reasons given in "Freejack" too.  The latter movie is another one I have had a mind to review.

It's not what you say, it's how you say it.

Yep.  The original John Varley novel is a great read too, better than the movie (which I like quite a bit...about due for a rewatch).

Oh, i understand.  however there's alot of ancient events that have been well documented.  i guess what i was also thinking was why not go to the 21st century or 22nd. i think the people in the movie are from the 23rd century so why go to just the 20th?

also one other thing that i noticed was that, the time traveling woman (who, by the way, is hot and apparently everyone in the future who isn't sick is in great shape too)(no fat people?) well anyway, the time traveling woman (i know the actress too but her name escapes me) goes back to a crash in, i think, 1960 and one of her co-operatives (who aren't bad looking women either)(is everybody this good looking in the future? can i go there?) loses their weapon after getting shot by a hi-jacker attempting to hi-jack the plane, who causes the crash.

the future device is picked up by a young boy and kept by him.  he grows up holding onto the device always wondering what it is.  eventually he grows up and becomes a scientist. the device that he held onto all those years leads him to a theory that people from the future are traveling back in time.

while the time traveling operatives are on the plane, the hot time traveler (for lack of a better name) is searching for the device but can't find it so unfortunately she has to give up and get off the plane before they send it back to 1960 to fulfill it's destiny and crash.  if they have access to a time machine, (and you probably know where i am headed with this) couldn't she just go back to 1960 yet again but say 20 minutes before she and the operatives go there the "first" time, and prevent her friend from getting shot and dropping the device?

that is why some of the moive doesn't work for me.  with a time machine you have all the time in the world.

Cheryl Ladd, who, according to an actor friend of mine who had a bit part in this movie, was a total prima donna grade A Number one first class b***h.  Kris Kristopherson was very approachable, she had 'space issues'.....

I do remember seeing this one a few years ago and thinking 'plot hole aplenty' but it wasn't too bad
