Bought both of these as part of a Vampire Collection distributed by Diamond Entertainment. Both are Philippine/US coproductions, both have Vic Diaz in them, and both are not really Vampire films, but rather they are about the extremely boring topic of drinking the blood of others to maintain youth.
THE THIRSTY DEAD (1974) - This was a terrible film. Women are abducted from the streets of Manila and taken to a kind of jungle paradise by some robed figures who turn out to be tribesmen of a lost hidden people who stay young by drinking the blood of others. The place they are taken too is kind of a utopian looking place and they are taken care off. Till..........Well, you guessed it they drink the blood of the young women. This is a Philippine/US coproduction that includes veteran Philippine stand it Vic Diaz. The background music sounds like a TV movie.
BLOOD THIRST (1971) - This 1971 b/w Phillipine/US coproduction isn't that bad. A bit talky, but you get a crazy looking monster for your money. Women are drained of their blood to keep a dancer young. This is the better of the two. Vic Diaz is also in this one. I think the b/w also helps this film. Don't run out looking for this film. It's not that good. If you can find it for $1 you might want to try it. Let it come to you.
