Last night I watched
May, a weird, low budget horror movie. Usually when you think 'low budget' and ''horror' you're tending to think 'cheap expoitative and cliched slasher' but this is not like that at all. I'ts a well told story with an interesting set of characters. One thing about it is that the protagonists whom with sympahize with is also the murderer, and yet the victims are not really bad people. Although there are some gory, slasher elements, they do come later in the movie and why and how they come about is as unsettling as what they actually are
Nathan has a good review
here, and in fact it was Nathan's review that led me to rent this one.
