Anyone see this Sean Connery movie? I see that it's gotten a 3.8 rating over at IMDB. I saw bits and pieces on cable tv years ago and found it watachable. But that was years ago. It's now on the top on my Netflix list.

I remember watching it on TV and it was sort of abstract and "shiny".  But I do recall enjoying it as well, ut it wasn't good.

This is the one where Sean Connery has a cameo and is decapitated early in the film I believe or was that HIGHLANDER (or both).

One of those "Sean Connery does it solely for the paycheck" flicks. Just never found it to be as much fun as I hoped it would be.

"Bo-dy, come to me." Not the fakest severed head I've seen a film, but making it talk was not a good idea.

I saw it when I was a wee child and kind of imprinted on it.  I saw the first 2/3 again on TV when I was in my early 20s and found it to still be farily enjoyable.

I have NEVER seen it available on video or DVD.

It's a good one for sure. Now Akiratubo you have to see THE MAGIC SWORD if you haven't already.

It's on DVD now, but for some reason only in fullscreen. Although the intensely lame Miles O'Keefe was cast as Gwain and had to have his voiced dubbed over for the entire movie, I still like it a lot. It has a great story, and good art direction.

Here's another one who saw it. On television. Except for Sean Connery, the film has always struck me as one of those films that is neither "bad" enough or "good" enough to be memorable.
Except, off course, for Sean Connery. Who does get his head cut off at the beginning of the film.

I finally saw this movie in it's entirety, and it's pretty bad. In fact, Sean Connery is the best thing about it. The sets, costumes, screenplay, editing, direction, all terrible. It's a movie so bad, it's entertaining.
My favorite part is when the hero tries to hunt and kill a unicorn to eat for its "magical" powers.. Incidently, John Rhys-Davies, Ronald Lacey, and Peter Cushing star in this ludicious movie.
