My wife and I have a Halloween costume party to attend the week before Halloween and I wanted to see if you guys could give me some ideas for costumes. The theme of the party is Slumber Party Massacre. Any ideas? Let's see what you all can come up with.

Hey odinn7!  After all of Scott's attempts to bait you back with squirrel nonsense, I was afraid you were awol!

Stupid life getting in the way of internet slacking off...

Anyways, as for the costume, if the theme is anything to do with the movie of the same name, just wear a denim jacket, jeans and red shirt combo and run around wielding a phallic giant drill.

But if you really want to scare people, I'm sure you could just go dressed as one of the sorority girls participating in a slumber party, negligee and all.  Pillow fights optional...  truly a terrifying experience for all involved I'm sure.

Anyways, besides all that. I hope you have a fun night!

The theme doesn't need to follow the actual movie but along the lines of slahers and victims.

Ash, I don't think that will work as that is how these people already know me...they would think I was cheating by not wearing a costume.

You could always take that old cut up teeshirt from your punker phase & smear some catsup on it.

You could modify my cousin's goto Halloween costume: a hospital gown with a loosely tied back and one of those strap on bare asses so that it pokes out the back. You could smear stage blood on the gown or give yourself zombie or scar makeup and be a patient turned zombie or slasher victim or killer - just add sharp implement, surgical tool (say a bone saw) or power tool.

The dressing as a sorority girl idea might work with the strap on back side also, a bit of humor with your horror theme.

Or the old raincoat, black socks, and dark shoes or boots, be a flasher just add makeup or weapon to be a victim, zombie, or killer. You could be the creepy flasher turned slasher, what flasher could resist a slumber party?

Could you and the wife dress as typical horny (and naturally doomed) slasher film teenagers? Maybe find 80s clothes or dress like contemporary teens since the films have come back. And add fake blood and makeup as you wish.

Riffing on the ideas of the "squirrel" set, you could dress in a team mascot style costume and add knives for claws like the killer in a bear costume in the 80s flick "Girls' Nite Out". Kind of obscure to any non-slasher fans but it fits the theme.

I know!
Shave, shower, brush your teeth, comb your hair & get all suit & tied.
It really freaks people out whenever I do that!
On the other hand, dogs seem find very disappointing.
