If you like 'Clash of the Titans', you should like either one of these. Tom Baker was the best thing about 'Golden Voyage of Sinbad'.

These used to air constatnly on the ABC Sunday Night Movie when I was little, and we would all talk excitedly about them the next day at school. Eye of the Tiger doesn't hold up as well to me now that I'm older, especially the effects, but the era of Harryhausen's trademark stop-motion was soon to an end as FX advanced and tastes changed.

But these were still great adventure films for young boys that adults with a sense of fun could enjoy (or just ogle Caroline Munro and Jane Seymour) as well. I sometimes wish there were a new wave of films in this style, that were fun escapist fantasy adventures without either the need for heavy toy and merchandising tie-ins or weighty gravitas, religious allegories, or respectability to lure in adults who wouldn't see a pure adventure film (like the Lord of the Rings films). I guess the Harry Potter adaptations are as close as we get; but even as a kid I was always biased against stories with kids as the main protagonists since I knew early on that there were lines that would not be crossed.

Saw a both of these as a kid, but was never able to sit through either film. Sinbad wasn't that interesting to me. Same with Tarzan.

I am willing to sit through them now if I find them. : )

Big fan of these movies as a kid.  Loved them to death and was crushed when I tried to get a copy of the 'set' on dvd and it didn't work out.  Will have to hunt again for them.

Just some classic stop motion adventure really.  Old childhood staple.

It's not what you say, it's how you say it.

I love 'em both.  GOLDEN VOYAGE is far superior though in nearly every way.  Caroline Munro is absolutely luscious.  John Philip Law is my personal favorite Sinbad.  And well...Tom Baker is just the greatest Sinbad villain ever.

Patrick "The Duke Jr." Wayne just doesn't cut as Sinbad in comparison.
