CONAN THE BARBARIAN is for sure my favorite Arnold Schwarzenegger movie. It has a lot going for it. For instance the action, story, philosophy, and music. It will always be in my top ten films of all time.

By the way Schwarzenegger was just re-elected as govenor of California. Here is how I place his films based on concept and general effect.

1) Conan The Barbarian
2) The Running Man
3) The Terminator
4) Total Recall
5) Predator
6) Terminator 2: Judgement Day
7) True Lies
8) Eraser

Been wanting to see Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. I know you can buy it cheap at Walmart. Anyone like this film?

I have to go with Commando on this one. It's probably also the cheesiest, but there are just so many quotable lines in the movie I have to love it. Total Recall is probably the best movie of the bunch in my opinion, and it ties for second place with Hercules In New York on my favorites list (I just can't decide between the two).

It was close but I picked Conan the Barbarian. Top favorites would have to be True Lies, Running Man, Commando and Total Recall.

I like Predator and The Terminator flims but it felt like anyone could have played that role. Termintaor could have been any big dude and Predator Arnold was upstaged by the Predator.

T2
Twins
Kindergarten Cop

prefer his comedy roles to action ones in general, but Terminator 2 rocks, so it gets #1'st place from me

"Conan the Barbarian" has to be my favorite.  Still one of the best fantasy films and it has some great lines; everything from, "Conan, what is best in life?" (and the answer) to "There is a price, barbarian."  The locations and sets are all great as well.  I especially liked the sets, with the often wide, desolate feel to them.  It was like the Howard settings actually coming to the screen.

Oh, and Mako as the little strange wizard in his hut.

Commando is probably my favorite in the realm of cheesy action movies.  Again, some good quotes.

TERMINATOR 2 is an awesome action/sci-fi film. The reason I put it lower on the Arnold scale was because the concept is already done in the first film, but I remember the first time I saw TERMINATOR 2 and how awesome the action was.

I went with the first Conan film, too. I just love it. I addition to the line Andrew mentioned, my all time favorite Movie Quote  is from this movie.

Hey you missed Stay Hungry (1976), which features Arnold as a laid back, philosophysing, blue-grass fiddle playing Mr. Universe hopeful. Also, features Jeff Bridges, Robert Englund, Roger E. Mosley, and Sally Field in her only nudie bits ever in a movie.

Predator and T2 are top of the heap for Arnold's serious work, and Commando has to be the cheesiest. As Derf said you can't go wrong with all those quotable lines.  "I eat Green Berets for breakfast!"

The Running Man is my favorite of his movies followed by The Terminator and True Lies.

I don't care for Conan The Barbarian. I can understand why others like it so much, as it is well done as a movie, but as a fan of Robert E. Howard's work, it has about as much relation to the stories as does Late Night with Conan O'Brien; they both have a main character named Conan. It was written by Oliver Stone; though an excellent writer, he has proven time and time again that he has absolutely no respect for another author's work, or history for that matter. It is a shame, as it is a well made movie, and I would recommend it for someone who is primarily interested in a fantasy movie and not familiar with the stories.

I've never seen Running Man so I suppose I must be missing out, but anyways I chose Conan The Barbarian based on the fantastic Audio Commentary track on the DVD.  I suppose that probably doesn't count, but gosh darn it I'm counting it!

Other good ones for me was Last Action Hero [an underrated Post-Modern satire on action movie conventions in my opinion, though it's still a brainless Arnie film nevertheless] Predator [because Predators are cool more than Arnie being in it] and for some odd reason Kindergarten Cop has a nostalgic value to it as well.

Conan the Barbarian got my vote, since it's the one I rewatch and don't get tired of. It may not be faithful to the original Howard stories but I'll take it any day over the L. Sprague de Camp and Lin Cater completions of fragments and reworking of non-Conan stories or crap like Conan of the Isles.

Other favorites are Predator, The Terminator, Total Recall, and T2. But I consider that a SFX movie featuring Arnie rather than a full Arnold movie, since it was the T-1000 and the digital effects that made that film more than Arnold. The frirst film was when he really shone and lodged in the public's mind. Once upon a time Commando was a favorite but repeat viewings over the years have cool my love of it. Of his comedies, I'd probably pick Kindergarden Cop not so much because It's so great but I've never cared for Twins or Junior since I can't stand Danny Devito. Jingle All the Way gives me a headache.

I voted for Commando.  I never get tired of that movie.
I love the quotes in it also.
"Let off some steam Bennet!"
Funny stuff!

Many people and movie critics consider T2 to be the peak of Schwarzenegger's movie career.
Look at the results so far on how we've all voted.
You'll notice that no one has voted for any of his films that came after T2.

T2 is my favorite, probably being as I just recently went back and watched it again.

It still holds up amazingly today.  The special effects, the action, the humor.  Great stuff!

Kind of a tossup between Terminator and Conan, but I'll go with Terminator.  Also really liked True Lies, Commando, Predator, Total Recall and Terminator 2.
