Hey yeah sorry bout that, thing is, im at work and we have this nasty little program wich is not allowing me to change the avatar up right now.  Will do when i can.  Thanks for pointing that out, I would have never concluded that on a b-movie site that anyone else would have selected the bruce campbell avatar.  Thanks for taking the time to reply to my post, very helpful.

You are welcome to use any avatar I am using. I'm certain the vict...uh...I mean willing participant wouldn't mind.

Considering that b-movies are wide open territory (no, this is not a reference to porn  TeddyR ), do you have any preferences as far as genre, time period, overall badness, etc.?

Look through the reviews on this site; I've watched a lot of movies based on Andrew's reviews - DARK STAR, KILLER KLOWNS FROM OUTER SPACE and CARNOSAUR to name a few, and I now have SYNGENOR on the queue.

Read the discussions here on the board; you'll soon find folks with similar tastes and when they mention a movie they like, you'll know to go with it.  For example, I've found I tend to also like the movies mentioned by Skaboi, and some I've watched (and enjoyed) based on his recommendation include THE FINAL CUT, BRICK and SNATCH.  These were not really "B" films, though.

What genre's do you prefer?  Old hokey sci-fi, westerns, kung-fu, cheap horror, etc?

We all have our little favorites that for whatever reason 'stick' with us.  For example, I've been partial to SORORITY BABES IN THE SLIMEBALL BOWL-A-RAMA since I first saw it (while very, very drunk) and MANKILLERS.  The former stars the beloved Linnea Quigley and the late great Buck Flower while the latter is a little known, horrible female version of THE DIRTY DOZEN.  It's bad, in EVERY way, but for whatever reason, I love it.

Waxwork, Fright Night, Phantasm, House (1986, not T.V. show) series, and A Polish Vampire in Burbank, in addition to most films from Amicus are personal favorites

Welcome aboard and I agree with what was posted before.  Some hints at the type of films you usually enjoy would go be best.

Off the top of my head, and shooting blind, here we go:

Greaser's Palace
There's Nothing Out There
The Abominable Dr. Phibes
Drunken Wu Tang
Frankenhooker
Hercules (1983)
Inframan
Ninja Wars
Motel Hell

On a side note, I believe that Frankenhooker is getting a proper DVD re-release soon.  I don't remember the specifics, but it is supposed to have quite a bit more special features and a much better transfer than the previous DVDs.

HEY! We have something in common! I was new here once too! I'm gonna suggest a few from differnt genres:
FOXY BROWN (blaxploitation)
CHAINED HEAT( Women in Prison or WIP)
BLAZING STEWARDESSES(sexpliotation)
5 FINGERS of DEATH (Kung Fu)
the GIANT GILA MONSTER(50's)
I DRINK YOUR BLOOD( low budget horror)
there are soooo many different types and kinds....I'm sure youv'e seen your share of BAD MOVIES...the type critics hate but you like.

Well, your screen name is Yellow Beard.
If you haven't seen it yet, I recommend the movie Yellowbeard.
I picked it up on DVD recently and it's always a fun movie no matter how many times I watch it.
It's crazy pirate fun.   Thumbup

A few of my favorites:

Blood Dolls - totally weird movie about a millionaire using killer dolls to take revenge on his enemies.
Chopping Mall - pure '80s cheese about some kids partying in a shopping mall and being attacked by killer robots.
Sorority House Massacre II - puts the exploitation back in slasher.
Slumber Party Massacre - classic '80s slasher cheese.
Arachnid - about some people being attacked by mutant spiders on a jungle island.
Spiders - about a hot babe being attacked by giant spiders.
Sasquatch Hunters - CGI Sasquatch go after a likable bunch of goofs.
Insecticidal - hilarious looking CGI bugs chase half-naked college girls around their sorority house.
Cheerleader Ninjas - every bit as stupid as it sounds - and very funny.
House of the Dead II - fun little movie about zombies on a college campus and the morons sent in to fight them.
