This movie was directed by one of MST3k's creators Jim Mallon (AKA the voice of Gypsy)!  A man named Kevin Murphy was also involved with the Key Grip but he isn't the same Kevin Murphy who voiced Tom Servo

When I saw this movie, I could only ask WHAT DOES THIS FILM GOT THAT THE OTHER FILMS OF THIS GENRE DO NOT? Answer? NOTHING! This is your basic run of the mill slasher drek, complete with stupid teenagers, and stupid plot. Someday, the movie makers will have to stop making this type of junk.

Well, this movies is not as bad as nowadays "Scream like" light slashers.
I must admit that the idea of a serial "fisherman" killer always frightened me. And the script of blood hook is not so bad for a Troma prod.
Anyway, very good slasher archetype for a saturday night...even if the acting is awful !

I really enjoyed this movie. I think a serial killing fisherman is kinda cool. I think a sequal should definitely be made. I am 'hooked' on this movie, but the acting is a little bit 'fishy'.

I think this was troma's best movie second to Blades. I love how the killer uses a fishing lure the only flaw I basically saw was the plot. I would rate this a 41/2 on a scale of five. p.s Rodney kicks a**, he listens to the coolest s**t.

Last summer my friend purchased this on DVD. I think this was an all right movie.  With desent gore effects and some pretty funny moments, I would rekomend watching this on a rainy saturday afternoon.

This movie is crazy, I seen it and thought to myself, gee those landmarks look very familiar, and come to find out it was filmed in my hometown of Hayward Wisconsin, so funny. I never knew it was made there and now I know why. But those up north fishermen do tend to be a bit on the crazy side when it comes to fishing, but c'mon those gigantic musky lures ?? lol This is definitely a movie that should be seen at least once and than forgotten. there should be a copy out there that people just send to one another and "pass it on" hehe  BounceGiggle
