This is getting really, really freaky -- every new review I read on this site suddenly pops up on tv within the week.  I read the review on Lake Placid -- two days later, it's on cable.  I read the review of Xanadu -- that night, it was on Family.  It goes on and on, about twenty to thirty times this has happened.  I read this review, and the very next night, what was on Movie Central?  Psycho Beach Party!!  Now, I missed the first three-quarters of it, unfortunately, coming in just before Starcat (Xander from Buffy the Vampire Slayer!  Say it isn't so!) hypnotizes Chiclet.  I sat riveted to the screen, watching the insanity unfold before me, too stunned to laugh or change the channel.  And just when I thought it was over -- wham!! -- another twist ending!  Then another one!  And another one!  The hell?!  Well, I can't say it was boring, and I definitely have to find this one again and watch it all the way through.  Xander, you might want to call your agent...

PBP is awesome! Not only a collage but also it has its own humour of sickness. And Lauren "Chicklet" Ambrose is cute enough for a 60's beach film. *****

I actually saw this movie on HBO a couple weeks ago and was laughing throughout the movie. It's very entertaining and very humorous in a weird way. It's like I Know What You Did Last Summer and the Brady Bunch movie with a twist. Overall it's halarious, yet there are a few 'odd' scenes which could be tooken out or redone. Yet the movie as a whole is great and I reccomend everyone see it!

Actually I was married to a woman with multiple personalities. The real deal. It wasn't a lot of fun. Though it was rarely boring.

It took a few viewings for this movie to grow on me, but it is quite tremendous. Psycho Beach Party is one of the better films I've seen lately, and sure as Hell one of the most unique I've _EVER_ seen. Definately worth your hour and 40 minutes if you happen to see it on one of the many movie channels it seems to get played on.

P-S-Y, C-H-O, PSYCHO!  Clap clap!

This is a true gem of a film, which is amused by its special effects, respectful of its genre while still able to poke fun at itself, and worthy of belonging in anyone's collection of unique cult films.

Lauren Ambrose shines as Chicklet, and the supporting cast truly seem to be having a blast.

This movie brings the groovy, baby.

My cousin played Yo-Yo in this movie (the gay guy with bleach blonde hair).  He told me that this movie was so low budget that the premiere was followed by a porno movie.  True story.

I don't know if I should admit that this is one of my favorite movies, but it really is.  I searched far and wide to rent it after I saw it on HBO.  I found it for a good price on Ebay, so I bought it.  A great investment if you ask me.  ($10)

I would like to purchase the soundtrack album to Psycho Beach Party, but I cannot find it available anywhere.  If anyone knows where to find one (new or used) please contact me.  Thanks.

Haven't seen it yet, but I'm definitely going to now. I mean come on, it's Lauren Ambrose!

I to have known someone with M.P.D. It's definitely not as fun as it looks on tv. You ever notice, that people with M.P.D. always have at least one psycho personality. I mean, it can't be a host of lovable different people in there, there's always one that you can imagine chopping you up into little bits while you're sleeping. (I guess I'm talking to folks that really know someone with the problem but it could apply to movie goers to...)

Ranting yet completely on the subject here... Anyone besides me remember a show called "Herman's Head"

Ye-es! It ran for three seasons on the Fox Network, and is thus regarded as being one of the first hit shows on that Network. It also gave Hank Azaria, who had done some TV work up to that time, three seasons of regular work, as the hero's best friend. The first regular work he had on TV.
