I would have thought "Jersey Shore Shark Attack" would have caught the public's attention and introduced The Asylum films to the masses.

I could be wrong but I don't think "Jersey Shore Shark Attack" was an Asylum flick. It did copy their formula pretty convincingly, however (i.e. has-been d-list celebrities, cheap CGI, outrageous/ridiculous plot, etc.).

Spot on, good sir. It was a "SyFy" film that cloned the whole look of The Asylum films. Up to, and including, the whole "you gotta be freaking kidding, right?" quality.

Given the directer also did "Chupacabra Terror", The Asylum should assimilate him into their rather warped hive consciousness.

Still, I would have thought it would have went bigger than it did. Maybe if Snooki had sex with the shark....<shudder> Poor, poor shark.

As much as it seems completely ridiculous to get irritated by "bandwagon hipsters" getting interested in bad movies, I completely understand. I'm the same way with music. It's hard to tolerate when great things are being appreciated for their popularity and not their qualities. Outspoken amateurs with unwarranted confidence in their own opinions are a pain in everyone's ass, no matter what field of interest it is.

But you know what else is just as bad? ...Elitists.

Everyone deserves a voice. Let's keep $#!t friendly, and watch some bad movies, eh?  Cheers

HAHA, you should be a writer! I can just see the shark slipping under the covers when the lights are off, and Snooki saying some great line like "Oh, Jeremy, have you been working out? Your abs are so FIRM!"

That is disturbing in SO many ways. Which is why it would sell.
