Watched RUDOLF THE RED NOSED REINDEER and FROSTY THE SNOWMAN a few nights ago for the first time in many many years. Which TV Classic was your favorite?

Christmas television is not complete without Charlie Brown, I just bought a CD of the special and the music is still great, and so is the show. Thumbup Thumbup

I voted for The Grinch.
The only downside to it is that after watching it, I can't get that "Ba-hoo-dor-ay" song out of my head.

I like the Charlie Brown Christmas special but Charlie Brown kind of brings it down a bit because of his depression.
Lucy steals the show in that one.
"I'll give you five reasons...1-2-3-4-5!" as she closes her fingers one by one to form a fist.
"Aack!  I've been kissed by a dog!  I've got dog germs!" after Snoopy kisses her.

Definitly the Grinch! Karloff and Chuck Jones? Whats not to love?
Too bad they don"t show the Mexican SANTA CLAUS on network every year. It should be shown on every channel for every little child to cherish forever and ever....(sigh).

Any chance of adding "The Year Without A Santa Claus" to the list?  I love that film.  Snow Mizer and Heat Mizer make the movie and Rooney had a voice well-suited for Santa Claus.

Also, and I say it often, Katie is unable to watch "Frosty the Snowman" - having seen "Microwave Massacre."  She complains to me about it every years.  "I go to watch the movie and suddenly hear Frosty say, 'Happy birthday!  I'm so hungry, I could eat a whore!'"

Rudolph for me.  That movie has held a special place in my heart since I was a little kid.  Just got the Christmas Classics DVD set the other day, but haven't watched any of the movies yet.  I'm waiting for a snowy night  Smile

Have to go along with Andrew on this one.  Year Without a Santa is my fave mainly due to the miser brothers.

Texdar's post made me realize that I continue to misspell them as "Mizer" vice "Miser."  I do it every year.  You would think that, after a while, the correct spelling would hit a neuron and stick to it.

THE YEAR WITHOUT A SANTA CLAUS is definately a classic TV production. Forgot that one. You can all change your vote by first removing your vote and then making a new vote.

I'd put the rest of those mentioned, but this one is strickly a TV Special poll. No doubt the Mexican Santa, SANTA CLAUSE CONQUERS THE MARTIANS, and many more Chistmas films Should be added.

I picked Charlie Brown, but really there is a triumvirate:
Charlie Brown, Rudolph and Grinch.
No Christmas season is complete without all three.

Zapranoth, I've never seen STAR WARS CHRISTMAS SPECIAL, but I've heard a lot about it. Was it strickly a TV Special for one of the networks? I don't think they ever rerun it with the others do they?
