All i know is that i have one of them I dont know if that's good or bad, or what it does for that matter. I dont even know how one obtains it. Does it have anything to do with those "boo hiss" things that are on everyones profile? Coz i dont seem to have one of those either.

Yes.  You get +1 Karma for each "applaud" click, -1 for each boo hiss.  None of us gets to see that on his own posts -- to prevent us from jacking up our own karma (which isn't a karmic thing to do anyhow.)

Yea, the Karma thing is tough. I feel my Karma going down about 10 points today with the recycled TP post. Smile

You had to be here when ASHTHECAT'S Karma went -1 last month.   Twirling

Well, I see I've gotten my first "karma." Which ought to take everybody I work with, by surprise. As they think I have as much "karma" as a piece of plastic.

At this point does anyone active on the board have a negative karma?

Even Ash's fears seem to have been unfounded.

No, but I keep thinking about screwing with somebody by setting their Karma to -1000 or worse.  Maybe I should do that to Katie, so she flips out the next time she signs on.

Well I must be doing something right.
I went from -1 karma to 13 in just over a month.
I do believe that I'm the only person to ever go into karma overdraft.   BounceGiggle

Well, Andrew, you've given the game away now, but maybe you could have begun to to gradually adjust your own karma downward (you can do that right?) over say a week or two. Then watched the rest of us wig out trying to figure out why it happened.

There would be the inevitable "Who's hating on Andrew?" thread, and baseless accusations, gossiping, petty infighting, name calling, threats to leave, etc. Nevermind bad idea, sounds too much like the BS I'm putting up with at work lately, except without the karma scores.

While on a journey, Chuang Tzu found an old skull, dry and parched.
With sorrow, he questioned and lamented the end of all things.
When he finished speaking, he dragged the skull over and, using it for a pillow, lay down to sleep.
In the night, the skull came to his dreams and said, 'You are a fool to rejoice in the entanglements of life.'
Chuang Tzu couldn`t believe this and asked, 'If I could return you to your life, you would want that, wouldn`t you?'
Stunned by Chuang Tzu`s foolishness, the skull replied, 'How do you know that it is bad to be dead?'

Bad Karma is like bad publicity. It draws attention to you. So if you want attention(i.e.WyreWizard) you actually feel Proud of your Bad Karma.

Personally I like karma, it lets you know that your thoughts and comments are enjoyed by your friends, but I must agree, WW is just as happy with bad as with good, shows him he's getting the attention he's so desperately seeking, what a sad empty life he must have.

I hope you noticed that your karma just went up for that. Thumbup
