I agree with everyone about Screamers. I loved the premise and Peter Weller gives a top notch prefromance but the end with the girl and his friend just had me scratching my head.

Still a great film.

The Quiet Earth is from New Zealand, not Australia. And Api was a Maori not an Aborigine. But you said it has been a while, and your still recovering from being ill.

Has anyone ever seen the French post apocalyptic film Le Dernier Combat/The Final Combat starring Jean Reno and directed by Luc Besson? Any good? The premise has always sounded interesting and the part about no one being able to speak would be interesting to see how they pulled it off.

I saw Le dernier combat last year, it's a pretty good film, but I had trouble getting into it, precisely for the whole "no language" idea. It worked, but I found it annoying. It's worth a look, that's for sure.
