GATHER AROUND THE FIRE THIS CHRISTMAS FOR THE

“KILLER TOY STORIES” MOVIE MARATHON

ON VOOM’S MONSTERS HD

Tune into Monsters HD on December 25 at 8pm ET for

The Scariest Christmas Movie Marathon Around!

NEW YORK, December 13, 2006 –   After unwrapping the gifts and feasting on turkey, make sure to tune into VOOM’s MONSTERS HD on Christmas Day beginning at 8pm ET for a truly terrifying movie marathon.  “Killer Toy Stories” will make you pack up all of Santa’s gifts and send them back to the North Pole!

 Films to Include:

Child's Play (1988) directed by Tom Holland- Young Andy Barclay sees a commercial for a 'Good Guy' doll on TV, and asks his mother for one for his birthday. At work, Andy's mom and her friend discover a peddler selling one for a low price, and she buys it. What she doesn't know is that the particular doll contains the spirit of Charles Lee Ray, aka 'The Lakeshore Strangler', who died at the hands of police the night before and had transferred his spirit to the doll by voodoo. Starring Catherine Hicks of “7th Heaven.”

Puppet Master (1989) directed by David Schmoeller - André Toulon is a puppet maker and the best of the kind. One day he happens upon an old Egyptian formula able to create life, so he decides to give life to his puppets. The Nazis seek to use this knowledge to their advantage and in desperation, Toulon commits suicide. Some years later four psychics get on the trail of a former colleague who suddenly commits suicide, and they decide to investigate the mansion he killed himself in. Along with his widow, they uncover the secrets of the Puppet Master.

Puppet Master II (1991) directed by Dave Allen – Toulon's puppets help collect brain tissue from human victims for Toulon to create his formula to animate the inanimate. The victims this time include a group of researchers from a US department, responsible for investigating the paranormal.

Puppet Master III: Toulon's Revenge (1991) directed by David DeCoteau – Set in Berlin during WWII, the Nazi regime is attempting to develop a drug that will animate the dead, in order to use in the war effort. Toulin arouses suspicion as a Nazi dissident, and his secret is discovered. During a Nazi raid on his home, Toulin's beautiful wife is murdered. Toulin vows revenge, with the help of his animated puppets. This movie gives a new perspective on Toulin and his "friends."

Puppet Master 4 (1993) directed by Jeff Burr– A young scientist working on an artificial intelligence project is the target of strange gremlin-like creatures, which are out to kill him and thus terminate his research. By coincidence, in one of the rooms he uses, there's a mysterious case containing the puppets of the "puppet master." When the puppets are brought to life, they help destroy the creatures.

Puppet Master 5: The Final Chapter (1994) directed by Jeff Burr– After having his demon destroyed, an ancient evil creates a puppet of him to release on the world. With the help of Toulon's spirit the Risk Myers destroys the demon and becomes the new puppet master.
Pinata: Survival Island (2002) directed by David Hillenbrand – Teens trapped on an island are haunted by a demon hidden inside...a pinata.

Devil Doll (1964) directed by Lindsay Shonteff – Vorelli is a ventriloquist & hypnotist, with an amazing dummy, Hugo. Vorelli meets and pursues a beautiful heiress; he mesmerizes her, and induces a baffling coma…and a final confrontation yields surprising results.

Me neither, but it doesn't sound like too good of a marathon anyway. All the Puppet Master is good but there really isn't much else.

I found it real strange at the end of the first Puppet Master movie that they used a stuffed dog.  It's not like the dog had any bearing on the plot and he was so obviously stuffed.

Since some of the DVDs are very hard to obtain, being long out of print, this is a good chance for some people to watch or record (VCR, TIVO) the movies.
