Well, I don't know...the creature's costume in "The Terror Within" was pretty bad, and when that baby monster erupted from the woman's partially cut open womb, I was repulsed at first, but then when it crawled off on its hands and knees, I just busted out laughing at it how ridiculous it looked.

Would "Traxx" make it into the list for anyone?

I would have to say it's one of the more painful things I've seen... but I haven't seen a lot of the massively agonizing things you guys have.

"Chili con cookie."

Ugh.  "Shanghai Surprise."   That one would make it into my bottom five.  That movie embodied much of what sucked in the eighties.  It's so bad I can barely remember it.

I couldn't put Zardoz there, though.... nor Creepshow.  Too many redeeming moments.   "It's Father's Day, Bedelia.  I WANT MY CAKE!   *rraugh!*  *crunch*"    I mean, how can you hate a movie that has that scene in it?    And Steven King, shaking the glowing green goo off his hand and saying "meteor shee-it!"

I note that "worst five" to us is different than what regular mortals would consider the worst five.  Take, for example, "Dark Star the Spaced-Out Spaceship," which I can watch and cackle over, while my wife flees at the opening credits.  And who could get their (non-Badmovies.org) friends to watch "Manos" without the MST3K?   It's like playing a William Shatner album at a party and refusing to shut it off when people start milling around and looking at each other...

I don't think it's that bad, to be honest. It doesn't take itself all that seriously and has a few jokes I still quote with my friends today.

Another recap... First off, the indian Superman kind of interests me, but I get a feeling I'm better off not knowing- like the flying scene in Reptilicus.

Also, I'd say Godzilla vs. Megalon is one of the worst Godzilla movies, but still much better than Yongary, Frankenstein Conquers the World or Destroy All Planets. I was never a fan of Godzilla vs. the Smog Monster myself. Megalon is bad, but at least it's kind of a fun bad. Try saying that after watching Yongary, Monster from the Deep.

I'm on a strict "no Alien ripoffs" diet... at least, nothing from the 1980's.

Indeed. I happen to love Peter Jackson's Dead-Alive (Braindead), but I have been assured of physical harm by The Other Half if I ever try to screen it with her around.

The FDA has been looking for a generic name for Viagra. After careful consideration by a team of government experts, it recently announced that it has settled on the generic name of Mycoxafloppin. Also considered were Mycoxafailin, Mydixadrupin, Mydixarizin, Dixafix, and of course, Ibepokin.

If you watch "Manos" without the MST treatment, it is definitely a painful movie.

I actually own a copy of the regular version of Manos on VHS.  Got it for 5 dollars at a video store that was going out of business.

My friends and I tried watching it without the MST treatment, and just couldn't do it.

I take it you haven't subjected her to Meet the Feebles yet?   Cheers Cheers

My kids cringe when we have company over, and I plug these in...but it never ceases to amaze them.EEAGHH!,the WILD WOMEN of WONGO,etc...THESE are bad movies to marvel over eons from now! Pass them on to your kids, your grand kids, your freinds and enemies! Shout it loud_ I'M SICK and I"M PROUD! RIGHT ON BROTHER! hot

There are many that are so bad they're great, as everyone here knows. Thus this site!

Then those are the those that are painful even for the bad movie fan.

In no order as they all equally sucked eggs. This is my recently made bad list, there are others that are much older and far worse. (i.e. - The Beast of Yucca Flats, Monster A Go-Go, etc) but without further ado ...

"Death to the Supermodel" - I tried to enjoy it, I mean it had hot babe in it, but the movie was just really lame, if any movie ever needed nudity this was the one. (There was one very brief passing scene by an unknown, but it really needed it wall to wall to make it a keeper.)

"The Notorious Bettie Page" - If Bettie Page was dead she'd be turning over in her grave. Watching was like watching a train wreck in slow motion, you didn't want to watch it but you just had to see what happened. All involved should be ashamed and barred from futher film making. I'm ashamed to say I bought this blind as I'm a huge Bettie fan, if you are one too. Save your money not even worth renting.

Nacho Libre - Yes, even though I like Jack Black this movie was just just bad IMHO. I had high hopes for it and I was body slammed with disappointment. I'm not sure what went wrong here but something about the entire flix just didn't work.

Larry the Cable Guy, Health Inspector - Do I really have to explain this one? Even IMDB has it on the Bottom 100 list.

Little Man - A big waste of time, money and film.

Granted there are many far worse than these, many straight to DVD that aren't even worth mentioning or giving them the credit of being called a movie, those that are only useful as coasters or skeet targets.

CONTROVERSIAL!  Surely you must not have seen very many films.  I haven't seen Saturday Night Fever (my wife has the DVD so I'll watch it eventually) or Brokeback Mountain, but I'll say that War of the Worlds was kind of lame (but the effects of the tripods were awesome, as well as the sound they made) and that Gone With the Wind is overrated (not without it's moments of greatness, though).  Star Wars is a classic but there's nothing wrong with someone not liking it.

Go watch the Mike Myers version of Cat in the Hat and see if you don't contemplate either suicide or genocide.  I'm still baffled by that movie.

Unrelated to the above, I'd like to mention that I'm a fan of Godzilla vs. Megalon despite how the movie is kind of crappy and boring and Jet Jaguar being a total wuss.

1.unhinged-i would rather gouge my eyes out with a rusty fork then watch this again.

2.boogeyman (remake)- i remember a half hour in thinking, why in the flyin f**k did i spend the 5.50 to sit through this absolute piece of garbage.

3.Killjoy- the only hing worse than this is the sequel.

4.puppet master v.s demonic toys- i waited for this for so long (along wiht many other fans) and i got the shaft. this is one project that really p**sed me off because charles band is a jerk, he sold the rights to sci-fi instead of doing it himself. not to say that anything hes been doing lately is any good for that matter ( decadent evil or gingerdead man anyone?)with all these godforsaken puppet "stock footage" master sequels he keeps cranking out. imo the franchise bit the big one with curse of the puppet master and i dont even want to talk about retro. i keep asking myself the question why do these films suck so bad now? now he crams static rod puppets down our throught whos eyes and mouth dont even move when they talk, good story lines but are executed poorly, garbage garbage garbage. not to mention hes got more of a budget now than he did then, charles band deserves a slap upside the noggin. Hatred

5.monster man- huge letdown,i heard alot of good things about it but i personally thought it sucked. while it had a few good jokes and some good gore effects it was crap.

Actually, I have seen quite a lot of films.  Probably at least 2,000 of them, but I am on this board because I LIKE so-called "Bad" movies!  I LOVE Godzilla vs. Megalon, Manos, Robot Monster, etc. and I absolutely loathe the movies on my worst 5 list.  Go figure!
