The little creature in the cupboard is a tough one, because we could be dealing with a horror anthology movie, like "Nightmares" or even an episode from something like "Monsters" or "Tales from the Darkside."

I have NO IDEA why someone would want to see "Munchies" again.

Don't know if this'll hurt my karma or not but.... LOL!
I've seen "Munchies" multiple times. Another flick I tracked down because I saw it when I was a kid. I think it has a few minor... endearing(?) qualities........

I remember one other little detail about the creature in the cabinet...I don't think it took place in a kitchen...I think it was in a more darkened room, like a basement or something, with white walls.

I don't really have a good memory of it...I think it had kind of an orange color, with a head that was pointed at the top, with black horizontal slits for eyes, and a little black smile for a mouth that I guess looked painted on.  It looked almost like a little finger puppet.

I could be wrong though. I never really got a good look.

There's a movie called XTRO, i think the kid battling the puppet is there.  I think the kid could somehow control the toys or something.  that was a strange movie.

He brings some toys to life ... I think.  I remember a dwarf clown and a knockoff GI Joe.  I don't remember a muppet attack but I've tried very successfully to block out that movie.  It may be worth checking for a lead; there are plenty of reviews out there to read.

I can say that the boy battling the puppet with telekinesis is definitely not "Xtro."  Just watched the film the other night.  It is 99% likely to be "Making Contact" as was identified.

The creature in the cupboard has me stumped.  Pretty good description of the scene and a fair idea of the creature to work with.  It is not in the first "Ghoulies."  The creature description vaguely reminds me of the "Feeders" movies, but I have not seem them in a while.  However, I do not remember any scene in either "Feeders" movie that matches this description.

No, it didn't have hair at all...I think it was all smooth and orange colored...and the face looked painted on, and partialy obscured by the shadows.

I don't know though...sometimes my visual memory isn't as good as i think it is.

I'll bet it was one of the Ghoulies movies...the bald one was orange, and in (I think it was part 2) the FX were even cheaper than the first.I saw the one with Harvey Korman...and they were fighting it in a kitchen,I believe...gee...it was a long time ago...

the bald "fish" (he's got fish characteristics) ghoulie is green

you can see the significant changes in quality in puppets from part 1 to part 2
i dont know the exact budget for ghoulies 2 but the puppets definetly recieved an upgrade(ie.more movement in the face and appendages) and look for that matter, also had some not to shabby stop motion effects as well.

and harvey korman was in "Munchies"

There are two scenes in "Munchies" that partially match the description, but the person is not cowering against a wall.  However, to try and eliminate this as a possible movie - I made two screen captures of the creature design from "Munchies."

Also, this was followed by two "sequels" with a creature that only vaguely looked like the ones in the original.  I have not seen them, but the creature is featured on the box artwork:

I have NO IDEA why someone would want to see "Munchies" again.

Appearantly I did, because I've subjected myself to it three times now. Of course, the third time I was probably drunk.

Now about the creature in the cupboard, no, I don't think its Feeders.
