I was hyped up to see it based on the trailers, but after watching it I wanted to hurt someone.  That gorilla named Amy drove me over the edge.

The only good thing about the movie....it was the first movie I heard in Dolby digital.

Dang, I had forgotten about that one (defense mechanism?), but also saw it in the theater.  Terrible, awful movie.  Of course, it didn't help that they totally wasted Bruce Campbell in that movie.

I've only walked out on one movie and that was "Chasing Amy".
My friend & I were already bored to death about half-way through the film and asked each other if we were going to walk out or not.

Our conversation went something like this...
"What do you think dude?  Should we leave?  This movie f**kin' blows!" I said.
"I don't know...let's wait & see what happens.  If it gets worse, we can leave." My friend said.

Then, when Ben Affleck's character suggests doing the gay thing....we left.

Hulk and Darkness Falls are other stinkers I saw. Darkness Falls I only went to cause I had nothing better to do that day, boy was I wrong! The Hulk made me even more angry than the Hulk ever was in that godforsaken movie, I've seen more enteraining debates on C-Span, plus I HATE CGI, cheap HG Lewis Gore f/x impresses me more than a 50 bazillion dollar green blob that looks weightless.

Mine has to be Ed, the movie with Matt LeBlanc and a man in a monkey costume playing baseball.  My friend who hardly ever went out to see a movie picked it.  I understood after that experience why he never went to the movies.

Happy Feet What a stupid disjointed plot and the importance of the dancing seemed to drop out of the movie for big stretches of time. And why make a critter with super stubby legs dance?

Hardly Working is supposed to be a legendarily awful movie, but the day I saw it I had a massive headache and nausea, might have been a migraine for all I know, the family made me go anyway. By the halfway point in the movie, I felt better than I had in two days. So hate on that film from me. Saw it on TV years, nothing special but still don't get the hate.

Escape from LA.

As a matter of fact I told a girl that I worked with that I saw it at the movies, and she basically made me feel like a complete idiot for watching it.  She was like  "didn't you see the preview on tv?!!"

I have have an excuse though, it was part of a double feature.  That and the Man in the Iron Mask.  That was kinda brutal too, adding the fact I was in a theater with a gang of teenage girls who was there to see Leonardo Di Caprio.  I learned my lesson well.

The 13th Child. Absolute crapfest, though luckly I went with a crowd and laughing our asses off made it worth while. I learned a valuble lesson though: just because it has a theatrical release doesent mean it wasnt made with a camcorder in some guy's backyard.

     At the age of 8 or 9 it had to be Cleopatra......I haven't seen the whole movie since.

And I'm the other other guy.  That was kind of a legendary one, wasn't it?  Close to gibberish.  They chopped out anything that would've given the story sense.

I decided a few years ago to come up with an answer for "worst movie I've ever seen", since that question gets asked pretty often.  And since it happens also to be a movie I saw in the theatre, it will be the answer for this topic too: Drop Dead Fred, an absolutely despicable comedy that (I think) tries to be another Beetlejuice, but instead convinced me the screenwriter and director hated children, romance, and life itself.

The only sort of cool thing about DDF was that it was filmed locally (Minneapolis), so I was able to recognize where some of the scenes were shot.  That was all the entertainment I could wring out of the thing.

Oops, forgot about Escape from LA, paid to see that one.

That made me remember seeing Virtuosity on a hot August afternoon, and being the only one in the theater, like everyone in the world was warned off the film but me. Well, the AC was good, and Russell Crowe went on to better things.

I've tried to watch Orca that way since, SaintMort. Just either bores me or irritates me to see a favorite actor, Richard Harris, in such a lousy movie. Still can't figure out why my mom took me to see it when, I was small and she was not a fan of killer anything movies. Would love to have the cardboard display that was in the lobby going in. Must have been seven feet long and almost four feet tall. Lurid graphics of the whole town destroyed or burning with the whale in mid-leap.
