I love the mini-map showing the various Friday the 13th Crystal Lake massacre locations... but I guess ClockworkCanary isn't a big F13th fan. Only 2 slimes?!  Buggedout

I think that it is funny, "The Final Chapter".  Kind of like Ozzy Ozzbourne's no more tours tour.

Anything to make a buck, but I love these B-movie flicks.

Take care,

John

The map was quite insightful.  Through all the films, they just keep introducing more locations, but I never thought to try and figure out how crowded the area must have been.

ClockWorkCanary actually rated it as 2 1/2 slimes, but I do not have that.  If he decides he wants me to change it to three, I will.

I keep waiting for a "Friday the 13th" film titled "Friday the 13th XX: Jason is Obliterated for Good.  No, Really."  Which begs to ask the question:  why hasn't anyone tried to nuke him yet?

Thank you!

Well, this is one of the better Friday films, but I'd still only give it 2 slimes IMO, which really says something for the entire Franchise (mostly falling on one slime a piece).  It's still boring and predictable, but then it was mildly entertaining.  To its credit, it was probably the pinnacle of the slasher formula, at least in the Friday universe.  It was a step up from the lousy part 3, in 3-D IMO.

I've thought about enhancing the map just a bit to more accurately reflect the various places, as I've had my mind refreshed with more recent viewings; it seems I've forgetten a few dwellings (not to mention an Archery range!).  If I ever get around to that, I'll post a link to the jpg.

Thanks for reading.

Jason Goes To Hell has that great into sequence where they blow him up with a grenade.  That's what would probably really happen, they'd eventually send special forces after him with explosives.  Sequels basically ignore JGTH though.

From what they imply in the other films, Jason can regenerate from basically nothing.  So, apparently, even if nuked he'd eventually come together again.

I'm betting the dog committed suicide. After watching his performance in this film, he realized there was no hope for him. He'd never work in Hollywood again. Nice review, though. Can't wait for the next one.

LOL you're probably right.  Thanks btw.  I hope you don't mean "next" as in the Next Friday flick lol - I'm about all Friday'd out.  Although I do still have Friday 3 in my collection and it's such a stinker that it needs a good ribbing.  I think I'll get back to that one eventually.

I've always thought that Jason was easily at his most brutal in part 4.

While the kill scenes are very quick, they are extremely harsh in most cases.

My personal favorite is the spear gun to the crotch scene.  OUCH!

The scariest part of Friday 4: Crispin Glover dancing.

Honestly, I liked Friday 4.  Favorite one of the bunch.

MPAA didn't crack down on this entry as they did in the other entries. Which is funny i wonder what made them slack on this one.

Behind the classic Part V, with Roy and Dudley from Different Strokes, this is my favorite in the Friday series.

I always refer to IV as the Star-studded sequel.
- the very cute Judy Aronson (whom we see topless) from Weird Science and American Ninja.
- Crispin Glover from Back to the Future and River's Edge
- Lawrence Monoson from Last American Virgin
- Corey Feldman from many movies
- The dude killed in the shower was on Young and Restless
- The morgue guy was in the Police Academy movies

I've always said they should make a Friday the 13th chocked full of people you would love to see butchered, like the lady on the Progressive Auto Insurance commercials for example.  I'd pay to see it.
