Here are my 20 favorite movies.  These are not necessarily the 20 BEST movies I've ever seen, but they are favorites in the sense that I really enjoy them and can watch them over and over, even though they may not be as "technically excellent" as many other films.  For instance, note that movies like CITIZEN KANE and CASABLANCA are not on this list, even though I think they are both great and have seen them several times.

These are in no particular order:

* THE GODFATHER
* THE GODFATHER, PART II
* TAXI DRIVER
* DELIVERANCE
* 12 ANGRY MEN (Henry Fonda)
* THE FRENCH CONNECTION
* WOODSTOCK
* NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD (original)
* DAWN OF THE DEAD (original)
* A CLOCKWORK ORANGE
* THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME (Charles Laughton)
* FIDDLER ON THE ROOF
* OLIVER!
* THE WILD BUNCH
* ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO'S NEST
* EASY RIDER
* NORTH BY NORTHWEST
* THE DEER HUNTER
* PAPILLON
* BONNIE AND CLYDE

I have a hell of a time picking favourites in anything that has more than a few options. I like to many movies to narrow it down to a few, and nobody wants to see an extensive list of movies I like a lot (nor do I want to write it). I have the same trouble picking a least favourite. I just can't do absolutes when it comes to entertainment, unless the criteria are very, very specific. I think many here can say the same thing.

See, I already need to alter mine because I left out:

* SHANE
* ROSEMARY'S BABY
* THE MAN WHO SHOT LIBERTY VALANCE
* THE EXORCIST
* DOG DAY AFTERNOON

This is a frustrating exercise!
