My 2nd favorite Peckinpah flick is Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia.

Man, talk about a crazy movie that was way ahead of its time!

**SPOILERS ON THIS ONE**

I do think the ending is a little too abrupt.  I expected an unhappy ending, but this one was just blah.  As opposed to the ending of The Wild Bunch.

Still like the flick though.

BRING ME THE HEAD OF ALFREDO GARCIA is a neat film. Enjoyed it a lot when it showed on FLIX (or ENCORE) a couple years ago.

I own all of these except THE DEADLY COMPANIONS on DVD.  THE WILD BUNCH is my favorite, although I think STRAW DOGS is Peckinpah's finest film.  CROSS OF IRON is a good WWII flick told from the German perspective.  As for multiple viewings, I've probably seen THE WILD BUNCH and THE GETAWAY more times than any of the others.  Heck, I like 'em all for one reason or another.

At our local grocery store they are selling MAJOR DUNDEE on DVD for $4.99. Almost picked it up. Maybe later.

Scott - is that the standard version of MAJOR DUNDEE or the restored version that was released in selected theaters a couple of years ago?  I bought the restored version last year and I really enjoyed it.  If they are selling it for $4.99 now I'll be aggravated . . . I think I paid about $20 for it last year.

I'll check it out later this week Burgomaster, but I'm sure it's not the restored version.
