I know this may be a sacrilege on this board but does anybody have any Disney films they aren't afraid to admit they have in their DVD collection and enjoy from time to time? Here what I'll admit to;

Toy Story (1 and 2)
The Incredibles
Robin Hood
Aladdin

I like Pirates of the Caribbean (either one) and The Chronicles of Narnia. Disney releases a lot of films that are not what one would call kid movies, generally under the Marimax Label. But assuming you mean you classic Disney type movies, I have kids so I see a lot of them. Some are pretty good, some are pretty bad (unless you are really young).

I like Disney movies. I liked them growing up and I like them now.

Some of my favorites have been:

Mary Poppins (Makes a good Thanksgiving day movie)
No Deposit, No Return
Toy Story 1 & 2
The Apple Dumpling Gang
Freaky Friday (the original and the remake)
The Moon-Spinners
Snow Dogs
The Santa Clause
Trenchcoat
The Lion King (not original, but fun)
Anything with Donald Duck

Amazingly, I have yet to see The Black Hole or Tron (and that ugly guy who dresses in a homemade Tron suit makes me want to see it even less).

Peter Pan (another really great animated film)
Sleeping Beautiy
The Black Cauldron (Probably the most underrated Disney animated film.

Fox and the Hound is an all-time favorite.

Pretty much the 90s canon (We can start with Great Mouse Detective) up to Lion King.  After that, they did well with Mulan and Emperor's new Groove, but aside from that...

And I'll admit I enjoyed The Hunchback, simply because it was able to keep a nice dark tone to it.  Sure it had a happy ending, but that's okay.  The sequel was one of the worst things Disney had ever done, though.

Of course, these are the ones I grew up with.  No offense to the classics like Sleeping Beauty, Dumbo, Pinnochio.  They're all pretty great.

To be fair, I have never seen the Black Cauldron.

We currently have:

On VHS

Pinnochio
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
Cinderella
The Little Mermaid
The Lion King
The Jungle Book
101 Dalmations (original animated)

On DVD

The Aristocats
Lady and the Tramp
Cars
Toy Story
Monsters, Inc.
The Incredibles
Finding Nemo
Beauty and the Beast

Shoot, there's probably a few I'm missing.  I watched a lot of Disney movies as a kid - the first couple of Herbie The Love Bug, Apple Dumpling Gang, etc, etc.

I rented PETE'S DRAGON from Netflix for my daughter.  I really did not like it that much, and I was really psyched about seeing it.

It was a favorite of mine as a child.  It doesn't hold up as well today, but I still absolutely love it.

Believe it or not, but Andrew and I do let our little ones watch a few Disney movies.  Our son is hooked on Cars and both the Toy Story movies.  We have actually had to hide Cars from him.  Our daughter will watch anything (even ultraman).  Personally I don't care for the message the princess movies send to young girls.  Oh poor me...I need a man to take care of me!  Please...that was fine when Mr. Disney was alive, but times have changed.  And could we please only make one of each.  I am so sick of seeing part 2 and 3 of a movie that was fine without anything else.
