My friend dragged me on myspace months ago and i've found no real use for it. I sure don't want my coworkers on it since that can get you in trouble..lol  And a lot of people I know don't use it.

I know i'm not here as often as usual, work is always so busy which is why i come here in spurts. But i'd love for you to drop a friend request or post your page on this msg.  I'd rather have friend requests from cool folks i've been knowing for years than some of the weird porno freaks that have been sending me requests lately.

Uhh...could you provide more detail about the requests?

And no, everybody, I did not send any requests.

I sent an invite to you from the Badmovies.org Myspace page and also one from me.
Several regulars here have Myspace pages now.
I've been hooked on Myspace since last summer.
Fun stuff!   Thumbup

By the way, nice to finally see some pics of you without all of your hair in your face.

You got a karma for trying out Myspace and finally reappearing here on the board.  Smile

Buggedout Funny thing about MySpace, I decided not to send friend requests to certain "adult models" I'd been in contact with, because I wanted to network a few business contacts with it, as well as all that other stuff.  Lookingup
Cheers Of course, their has been some measurable success in the networking field, but I'm also finding out through MySpace that some of these contacts of mine are just a wee smidgeon more peculiar than I am, with slightly trashier friends.  BounceGiggle

Hence my tagline about normal people. TongueOut

Have you checked out some of the friends on the Badmovies.org Myspace page?
The page started out slow but has been picking up lately.
It averages 1-5 new friend requests per day.  It used to get that many in a week when it was first put up.

90% of the friends there seem pretty cool.  We've got the usual B-movie fans...but we also have independent film producers & production companies, actors, a couple of professional stuntmen including one who's worked several times with Jackie Chan & Jet Li.
One of the directors of Monsturd and RetarDead is also on the list.  He goes by the name of Prime Minister of A**holeland.      TeddyR
A couple of other friends there run or are editors for magazines & horror e-zines.
Death metal bands seem to have a huge love for B-movies because we've got several death metal bands as friends.  Most of them are from northern Europe such as Sweden & Norway.
If you go to their pages, there's almost always references to or pictures of B-horror movies.
They definitely seem the most devoted when it comes to crappy cinema.   Thumbup
They always leave comments praising Badmovies.org and how much they love the site.

But there are a few on there that are just plain weird.   Buggedout

I have denied friend requests for only three people.

There was one guy who looked normal...like an average Joe.
Then I went to his page.
Put it this way, the word "misogynistic" doesn't even begin to describe what he had on his page.
It contained all kinds of pictures and disgusting talk about killing & raping women.
(sometimes in that order)
It was like seeing into the mind of a serial killer.  (Which is what I assumed he wanted people to think)
It was a pretty nasty page.  There was some seriously sick images on it.
I couldn't believe that Myspace had actually let this guy run a page like that.
Needless to say, I immediately denied his friend request.

There was another from a woman who was heavy into S&M and bondage.
Remember the movie 8MM?
This chick was way more hardcore than that with all kinds of nasty pics on her page.
I denied her request.
The third person I denied was a practicing Satanist with satanic imagery like upside down crosses and pentagrams and evil verses and quotes all over his page.
I never leave a reason as to why they were denied...I just don't respond to them at all.
Just click the Deny button and that's that.

So yeah, there's some freaky people out there on Myspace!

Sent an invite after reading this. Reading Ash's posts about MySpace and seeing that folks I know in real life have pages convinced me to give it a shot. I need to jazz up the look and graphics of mine for sure.

I recommend using this Myspace Editor
It's what I use to create my pages.

Ash

Thanks, some people I know have used "Pimp MySpace". I went and looked at what they had, nothing there I wanted to put on my page.

You're right there sure are a lot of ugly MySpace pages out there, like you said when we IM'ed the other day.

I'll try to IM you soon, real life has been intruding lately mostly for the bad this week, missed your message the other day.

I have gotton some weird requests as well...the usual porno actress wannabes( I wanna keep it somewhat clean,as my sweetie and my son and some kin are in) and I get a few starting rock bands, which I always keep. I got one from some guy who had no interest in anything vaguely similar to mine..I think it was some kinda weird swingers thing...yeeech!Deny. I got one from a Film company called KILLING JOKE PRODUCTIONS,which I checked out...it seems they do oddball underground stuff, including a documentary called SNUFF, which, according to the trailer, was to be a short doc on the allged reality or not of snuff films. They put an ad in a trade paper for people intersted in helping with research, and got  a possible snuff film in the mail...which kinda scared the sh!t outta them....creepy looking stuff. I been getting some real oddballs  that think I'm some kinda Manson follower, due to the fact that I have a fasination with the bizzare world of the late 60's,early 70's era in american culture.(I guess the HELTER SKELTER  song clip doesn't help...mebbe I'll remove it.)
