FOUR RODE OUT (1971) - This Western is a U.S./Spain co-production starring Pernell Roberts, Leslie Nielson, Sue Lyon, and Julián Mateos. It's got some good 70's folk music and location shots in the Almeria desert regions of Spain. They also use the white washed village from the Eastwood films. All in all it's a slow film as a U.S. Marshal is looking for a bank robber/murderer who just ran off into the desert in the night. The Marshall, a Pinkerton agent, and the outlaws girlfriend head out to find him. After finding him hiding in the rocky cliffs they loose two of there horses and they are running out of water. On the way back they loose the other two horses and one by one they all die from thirst except one. There is a bit of a twist in the who's who of the characters. You'll notice at the end when the survivor gets to town he dosn't even bother to get a drink and walks by a watermelon stand.
Bought this double movie disk from Walmart for $1. It's a good transfer distributed by Digiview Entertainment.
