What could've been a cool concept for a movie is ruined by stupid stories. A zombie comes back from the grave wanting a piece of cake?! WTF?! Or how about the stupid skit with Stephen King and the extraterristrial moss?! I liked the one with Ted Danson and Leslie Neilsen but it turns out to be another revenge story. And I hear Creepshow 2 is even worse.

the point of Creepshow was to be funny and bizzare much like the EC Comics that it's based off

I thought Creepshow 2 was Bad Crap.

But the first was excellent!

duuuuuuuuude, STFU. first of all they arent skits, its supposed to be like a comic book and how you didnt know that blows my mind completely. its supposed to be campy fun and it succeeds on every level. like Saint Mort said it's almost like a homage to E.C. comics in a way. Sounds like your unimaginative to me, if you cant have fun with this movie how can you have fun with any movie on this site? just stay away from creepshow 2 if you didnt like the first one, i garuntee you wont like it. sorry that really aggravated me, i just dont see how even if you didnt like it, you cant appreciate it for what it is.

Creepshow is one of my favorite moviez of all time. I can understand why some people wouldnt like it, though. Anthologies arn't for everyone. But yea, i thought it was genious. The One with King in it was good for it I think because it was a good humorous contrast to the rest of the film. I love it when King says "Well I'll be dipped in s**t if that aint a meteor!"

I havent seen  Creepshow 2 yet, and don't really want to see Creepshow 3 coz I heard that King and Romero have nothing to do with it. Doesn't that SUCK?

I love Creepshow to death!  I wish that The Crate was used as the last story though, as it's the best of them all.

I agree.  The best part of that story is the fantastic visions that Hal Holbrook has of murdering his wife.  Absolutely hilarious.

It's one of the few (if only) movies in which you get to see Leslie Nielsen acting like a murderous vindictive bastard.

Where is the special edition of the 1st Creepshow anyway?  The current old bare bones DVD has terrible picture quality.

I'm going to have to go and disagree with you there.... ummmm yeah

Actuallly I agree that The Crate was the best one but I like how it ends with the infamous cockroach closure (hopefully that's not too much of a give away)

I saw this in the theater with my dad when it came out and we both enjoyed it quite a bit. I loved how the opening and closing shots to each segment were duplicated with a comic book panel. I got a kick out of Jordy Verrill's imaginings, especially the angled shot of the quack doctor rolling on his chair.

"This is going to be extremely painful, Mr, Verrill."

The FDA has been looking for a generic name for Viagra. After careful consideration by a team of government experts, it recently announced that it has settled on the generic name of Mycoxafloppin. Also considered were Mycoxafailin, Mydixadrupin, Mydixarizin, Dixafix, and of course, Ibepokin.

Creepshow is awesome for what it is, a tribute to the old EC horror comics, but I'm guessing that's the problem with some people's opinions. They have no idea what those are, or the kind of impact they had on horror media (King's Danse Macabre is a great spot for this sort of info, although I grew up in the 70s-80s and was already familiar with EC, and the Warren mags that were it's immediate successors). It was more of a personal project of King and Romero's, and destined to be lost on a lot of people, all the more later on due to the "generation gap".

Creepshow is most definately awesome! The way the individual stories blend with the comic book and the sub story with the kid and his dad Tom "Thrill Me" Atkins was great!

Fathers Day was a great opening story. With the amount of time they had for the segment i think they conveyed the story well.

The Lonesome Death of Jordy Verrill (sp) i didn't care for as he wasn't a "bad" person and didn't really deserve what he got.

The Crate this one was fantastic! just the interaction between Hal and Adrianne was great and "Just tell it to call you Billie!" was probably one of the best lines!

I always wondered what happened to Fran after Dawn of the Dead and doggone if she didn't wind up buried up to her neck for daring to cross Leslie Nielsen! plus it was nice to see Ted Danson get his too, it's just too bad Leslie didn't realize that in a Romero/King movie death is usually not permanent.

I also didn't care for the roach story but again it was well done and the acting was believable i really did hate that character, yay roaches! TongueOut
