So the Funkasaurus thing is starting to grow on me. Brodus Clay brings so much energy to it and in today's bland WWE, it's starting to get over it seems. Not sure what the heck they're doing with Jericho but suspect he'll speak when the time is right for him - actually I noticed his facial expressions the last two weeks mirrored the ending of that week's upcoming Smackdown.

Mick Foley getting back in the ring? Hmm doubt he'll be able to go in any serious fashion but it would be cool to see him do one last hurrah of sorts at Wrestlemania. Wonder who he'd go up against..perhaps Johnny Ace himself?

A match like the Rumble would be great for Foley, cause he could work somewhat limited in it, as there's so many competitors in it at the same time that the focus wouldn't necessarily be on him to 'carry' the match.  J.R. pointed out that he isn't really physically capable of doing a full run, but one or two matches a year.  I could see him having some battles with Johnny Ace, perhaps over 'control' of RAW.  Or, a match with a young guy like Ziggler, putting Ziggler over.  Heard some talk of fans wanting to see a Mankind/Undertaker match at 'Mania, but looks doubtful.

Nova was great.  Shame his stint as Simon Dean in WWE didn't pan out.

I'm real excited for the Royal Rumble.  I live in Kansas City and I'm driving to St Louis to go to it and then I'm driving back that night to see Raw live the next night here in Kansas City.

I was hoping they would do 40 guys again but I guess their roster isn't as big as it was last year.  I mean I think they have enough guys but I don't think enough of them are relevant enough.

I was also hoping it'd be 40 guys again in the Rumble.  But, some people like Yoshi Tatsu and Curt Hawkins haven't been on tv in months it seems.  Pretty sure half the audience forgot about them.  I've never been to a ppv.  They had the '04 Rumble here, the one Benoit won, but I ended up not being able to get out of work.

Mankind wins the WWF title for the first time.  Longtime Cactus Jack fan, so when he won it, I was so happy.

My personal favorite title win.  Eddie Guerrero defeats Brock Lesnar for the WWE title.  Deserved it.

The Headbangers vs. Matt and Jeff Hardy, from February 1997.  A somewhat 'rare' match before the Hardys took off.

I hear the Headbangers are trying to come back to WWE.

Indeed.  I remember a match, I believe around '95 or so, with I think Jeff vs. Scott Hall.

May have been Matt...but I think it was Jeff.  I recall an interview in a magazine with Hall who mentioned calling Jeff "Vanilla Ice", due to both being blonde and looking similar.  But, I know Matt was around at the time as well, cause back then still had the "WWE Superstar vs. "Jobber" type of match.

The Hardys often stll had some pretty darn good matches in their enhancement days. Recall them in their very early days battling against Edge and Christian on some WWE B-show or another. I miss the enhancement guys...I kind of looked forward to seeing guys like Barry Horowitz, Steve Lombardi, Tom Stone, Dusty Wolfe, Pete Sanchez, Jake Milliman, Tony Leone, Jose Estrada, Jose Luis Rivera, Barry Hardy, Duane Gill and Brian Costello to name but a few of 'em.
