It's my fault that I haven't been watching that much movies, even mainstream, for that matter.  My only excuses are work and that I went to Freetown, Sierra Leone to see family.  I watched movies there as well, but that's for another post.  This is what I saw:

Eragon and the Chronicles of Narnia.  Definitely for the kindergarden types.  Question, in Eragon, how did Joss Stone get the part?

Beerfest.  Funny movie.  Funnier movie drunk.

Superman Returns.  Par for the course.  But I did like that twist in the end.

Fearless.  Sad that Jet Li won't be doing anymore movies after that.  It was a good movie.

V for Vendetta.  Another question.  For the Brits posting: In the back of your minds, do you really wish that it could really happen?  The U.S. being a huge leper colony just for the "incident" waaaaaaaaaaay back.  Don't kill me it's just a question.

X-Men The Last Stand.  Beast and Angel: Genius.  Juggernaut, on the other hand...  I got three word for him: CEE-GEE-EYE.  If it worked for the Hulk it can definitely work for him (probably would have been a more better fit than the Hulk).  And, I'm sorry, but I did not like how they did Magneto in the end.  He's and old school soldier.  The way they took him out was a wussy move.

My Recommendation:
Fullmetal Alchemist, the movie: The Conqueror of Shamballa.  If you've seen the series on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim, this movie ties up all the loose ends about the Philosophers Stone, Envy, and more.  The story is good, but a little preachy and as always, the animation and action.  In a word, mind-blowing (OK, two words) Thumbup.
