Change the color scheme!  It is impossible to read this site for any length of time without suffering from a massive headache!  The light text on a dark background just makes this site so hard to enjoy.  And that is a shame, because I love reading it!  But not when I have to copy the text into Notepad just to keep from getting migraines!  I'm going cross-eyed from just writing this!

I do receive complaints from time to time about the color scheme, but overall most seem to like it.  A few months ago I completed a project to convert the text to verdana font, which is usually judged to be the most legible.

I'm afraid that changing the color scheme would require a massive rewrite and also I think I am attached to it.  Something that might help if you have problems reading is using Firefox.  I use Firefox 2.0.  With it, when you encounter text that is hard to read, you can hit the control key and the + key.  That increases the text size on the entire page by steps (one step every time you hit the key).

I respectfully disagree with Frank. After hours of trying to read black on white everywhere I surf, I find the white on green against black rather soothing.

I think that Frank might be talking about the reviews, as they are usually white on a black background.

I have thought about changing the body of pages on the rest of the site to one of the greens you currently see on the forum.  My problem is testing, as I know that I will need to change around some of the other graphics (the red dividers probably would not look right) and that means time.  Time is never my friend.

Nah; he's referring to the forum as well. I disagree with Frank, frankly; no respect included.

Perhaps I'm just a bit masochistic and LIKE the pain? Bwaahaahaa! I thought our taste in trashy cinema made that apparent enough! The green fits (nor does it hurt my eyes).

I've never found the white on black hard to read myself, but can understand that others might.  I like it as the colors just say "Bad Movies" to me.  One of the main hurdles to changing it would be how attached I have become to it over the years.

NOTE:  I have no training in design or art.  If you tell me to make the Christmas tree "special" I am likely to top it with a hideous stuff moose head, vice a star or angel.

Amen to that brother!
The color pallette here has never bothered my eyes or given me headaches.

If the color scheme were to be changed...it just wouldn't be the same.

 Drink

I like the white on green colour scheme ~ green and white are two of my favourite colours. No other site has this ~ please keep it,  Andrew!  Thumbup

My actual reason for liking the colours is that they were the colours of the old flag I was born under. If you google the words Rhodesia and UDI flag you should come up with it.

Just a little green
Like the color when the spring is born
There'll be crocuses to bring to school tomorrow
Just a little green
Like the nights when the Northern lights perform
There'll be icicles and birthday clothes
And sometimes there'll be sorrow
