I originally went with Vanilla (Cool as) Ice because I'm a dork, as you can probably guess. How many other guys on this board didn't start dating until they were 25? How many have shrines to Spider-Man and H. P. Lovecraft in their rooms? Yep. Thought so.

I went with Tom Hanks, though because (besides being a D&D nerd for many years) nothing is more pathetic, yet strangely touching, as a young Tom Hanks crying after he loses his mind to a role-playing game.

The One Electronic is mine, with a nice screen cap from an old surrealist film, Un chien andalou, for a face.

He is a character from a rather surreal, unusual online graphic novel called "Rice Boy" which all should see.

I usually change mine almost weekly, but lately I've been sticking with the "Cyboman" from the Lawn Mower Man...I mean, you just can't go wrong with a cybernetic VR-trained, drug-fueled psycho chimp right?

Mine is the poster for The Mutilator which Andrew just recently reviewed.

It's a film that I hold dear.  It's one of the worst, most terribly acted slasher flicks of all time.

Absolute gold.   Smile

That describes about half of the members of this board; with the one exception being that you have had a date.

Where's that brick.......

« Reply #27 on: April 21, 2007, 05:02:24 PM »

Raffine, I like your current avatar, that image from Mad Love has always stuck with me. Got to see that film all the way through some day.

I like Derf's latest avatar too, Tinkie Winkie/Punisher. Wonder where he got it, or did he make it.

As for mine, It's Ignatz Mouse from the classic George Herriman comic strip Krazy Kat. I love the strip once I finally got to see it, and a collection I found at the library got me through a rough stretch a few years ago when I really needed some laughs. Plus the whole throwing bricks at Krazy who only seems to love him more for the attention seems to relate to real life way too much.

I need take another gander around the internet for images of him. I'd like to find one of him actually throwing a brick since that's what he's know for.
