As the title.  This is a kung fu movie, definetly released stateside in one of those compilations on DVD in the past few years.  I THOUGHT it was a movie I owned, but I've gone through my 100 odd kung fu collection and can't find it.   Hatred

Anyway, one of the main characters has this short looking staff or pipe thing.  It's like two feet long.  He uses it to fight, but the main gimmick is that he can shoot lethal little spears or darts out of it.  It makes a thunk noise, sort of like a cork being pulled out of a bottle.

The best part of the entire movie is when he's fighting one of the main bad guys.  He shoots the spear gun thing at him twice, but the bad guy blocks both.  Then the bad guy lowers his shield and goes "HAHAHAHA!  NOW YOUR WEAPON IS EMPTY!".  The hero is still pointing the pipe at the bad guy, looks at him for a few seconds, then THUNK and a third spear impales the bad guy.  He staggers, and right before falling says "I thought..  You only had... TWO!?".

Best part is we'd seen him shoot it at least four times in a row in earlier scenes.  The movie also had a LOT of scenes of that gimmick dart throw someone throws a dart, we hear the sound effect, then it cuts to someone with one in their head.  One of the main villains was a woman I think.  But that one scene is the main thing I remember, as it was awesome.

Pretty sure this is Thousand Mile Escort.  Anyone who has seen that able to confirm?  It's been in several kung fu movie packs...

Thousand Miles Escort is kind of a blur because I watched it years ago alongside several other kung fu movies.  There was a dart weapon in the film that became increasingly overused.  All I really remember from the movie is the subplot to rescue a kid, and when they do the kid never stops complaining.  Jim H, does this sound familiar?
