I just signed up for an account with Fandango today.
I've never used them before so I figured I'd give 'em a shot.
Apparently, you buy the tickets online and print out a "Print at Home" ticket.
Then you take it to the theater and you can get right in.
Or...you can order the tickets online, write down a confirmation code, take that to the theater and if they have a Fandango kiosk, you can enter that code into it and the kiosk will spit out your ticket for you.

One of the only things I don't like about going to the theater is standing in line to get tickets.
There have been several times when I got to the theater plenty early and had to wait for over 10-15 minutes in line and ended up missing some of the trailers.
It'll be nice to bypass the lines and go straight into the theater.   Smile

How about you?
Have you ever used Fandango or know anyone else who has?

Never used them. I usually go early to movies and avoid lines. Plus I don't go often.

Used them a couple of times.  It saves a ton of time, especially when I know a film is going to be sold out.

If it's a film I know I'll get into, then I'll pay at the theater.  It saves a couple of bucks as Fandango charges a fee.

Indeed. It is invaluable when trying to get tickets to oh say... Spider-Man 3! I got mine last week and I can't wait to see Spidey's latest adventure! YEEHAW!

my brother used fandango so we could go see Grindhouse a couple weeks ago and the manchine only printed out one of the tickets! we had to stand in line for 10 minutes just to get to the window and spend another 5 minutes trying to explain the situation and wrestle our second ticket out of them! i don't have an account myself and he says this has never happened to him before, but its never a good omen when your first experience with something goes badly.

It was always really difficult to get into movies in Chicago.  You'd practically have to sleep with the ticket nerd just to guarantee yourself a spot.  But I haven't had any problems anywhere else and have nearly forgotten what it was like.  I lived in Berkeley, CA for a few years and never had problems with any of the nearby theatres in San Francisco, Oakland, or Emeryville.  Now I live in Las Vegas, NV and haven't had any problems here either.  I thought maybe people just weren't going out to movies anymore.

So no, I've never used an online service.  Haha.
