And, today, grabbed a new copy of the original War of the Worlds from Blockbuster. I had this one DVD previously but one our cats decided to, well, shall we say "ruin it" and leave it at that.

Bought a Carlito's Way/Scarface/Casino set yesterday for just a tenner. In the last week or so I've also got Ice Cream Man, CB4, The Calamari Wrestler and Hawk the Slayer.

Over the weekend Borders had their deal of 40% off a boxed set for Borders Rewards members.  Picked up Season Two of Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea.  My Borders is on the small side.  Wish it had more of a DVD selection.

Recently picked up the Tremors Action Pack. Man, I could watch those movies every single day. I'm also one of those weird individuals who could recite the movie word for word with my friends at school. How many people do you know who played Tremors at school BounceGiggle great times they were. Also making my way through the Nightmare Worlds 50-pack; Embryo, Alien Contamination and Alien Zone are my favorites out of the bunch right now. The first part of Alien Zone really belongs on Something Weird, wow.

Found a double feature today with Amando De ossorio's The Loreley's Grasp and Paul Naschy's Horror Rises From The Tomb. I already have the latter, but it was some barely watchable print that came in a multi-movie set. This one is supposed to be much nicer. I also got Starhunter the complete series, which is really just the first season of the show before they retitled it for its second - and last - season. I thought it was a good score for 20 bucks, since I seem to be the only person outside of Canada who recalls this series.

The FDA has been looking for a generic name for Viagra. After careful consideration by a team of government experts, it recently announced that it has settled on the generic name of Mycoxafloppin. Also considered were Mycoxafailin, Mydixadrupin, Mydixarizin, Dixafix, and of course, Ibepokin.

The Blob, 1988 remake - thought it was pretty dull.

Pirahna 2 II: The Spawning - not a patch on the first Pirahna!
