I picked up the Rob Zombie Halloween remake from Best Buy for $6.  It was pretty bad.  Actually I thought the first half was ok, but the second half was awful, I mostly scanned through it.

The Descent
The Monster that Challenged the World / It The Terror From Beyond Space
Planet of the Vampires

Haven't gotten any of them yet, but I'm hoping at least one or two will arrive by tonight for my Friday night movie.

My mother said to my, "Hey, I'm taking your sister to the mall, would you like to come?" So I went.  And when we got to the mall, mom handed me $40.

At FYE I got the Midnite Movies double feature of "The Phantom from 10,000 Leagues" and "The Beast with 1,000,000 Eyes" (slowly, slowly I gather Paul Blaisdell's magnificent monsters...), as well as the Midnite Movies double feature of "The Beast Within" and "The Bat People" (which scared the pants off me when I was about six, and it was being shown under the title "It Walks By Night")

Then at Best Buy I found "Drive-In Cult Classics: 8 Movie Collection, Vol. 2" $10 for eight (well, seven and a half) films.  It contains: "The Hearse," "Land of the Minotaur," "The Creeping Terror," "Bloodlust!," "Terrified!," "Madmen of Mandoras" "They Saved Hitler's Brain" and "The Devil's Hand."

Got a new copy of Gappa from Half Price Books for about $6.  I've never seen this flick and I've heard it's not exactly great, but since it was cheap and I like Japanese monster movies I figured it was worth a shot.

A new flea market opened a neighbouring town, last week. So, I found three DVDs:

- Street Fighters
- The Punisher (starring Dolph Lundgren)
- Masters of the Universe (also starring Dolph Lundgren)

I also played a few games on a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles pinball machine. Radical!

What an incredible find - congratulations!  I found a Boris Karloff LP (still sealed!) from the '60s at a yard sale.  Can't recall the exact title offhand, but I believe the border was green and had an insert photo of a Don Post Frankenstein mask over an illustrated graveyard scene.

BTW, Ireland is an incredible country.
Thank you, I like it a lot, but I don't think it is super rare as it is still available from some internet sellers. Yours sounds(he he) sweet too, coming from a fellow Boris fan! Speaking of sound: One of my favourite extras found on a DVD is actually the complete narration(with sound effects) of the story of "The Legend of the 7 Golden vampires" by Peter Cushing, on the DVD release from Anchor Bay.
I agree Ireland is great; the people, the scenery and the pints! Cheers

New purchases:

The Hammer Horror Series - Brides of Dracula/The Curse of the Werewolf/Phantom of the Opera/Paranoiac/The kiss of the Vampire/Nightmare/Night Creatures/The evil of Frankenstein. Haven't seen any of these yet, does anyone have recommendations?

Yongary/Konga

The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms (I have never seen it!)

Dog Soldiers

The Dracula Saga(La Saga De Los Dracula) - Spec. Edition

I also played a few games on a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles pinball machine. Radical!

the curse of the werewolf has some yummy lookin' ladies in it. throughout the collection, keep an eye on the re-used sets. those hammer guys were industrious. paranoiac is a creepy, effective murder/mystery bit. actually, out of the whole set, the only one i would really talk trash about is the kiss of the vampire, because i honestly don't remember a single thing about the flick except that hardly anything happens.

It does, but nowhere near as bad as "Jason Goes To Hell", "Jason X" and "Freddy vs Jason". It's actually my favourite friday.
