The Monster Squad (2 disc-20th anniversary edition)
i dunno if you're a fan of commentaries, but there's a fun one, there.
OK sweet!  Thumbup I guess it's the one with the squad members?

The reason we had to buy a new shelf from IKEA TeddyR:

Corridors of Blood(1958 - Karloff)
The Black Scorpion
The Golem (from "Kino on Video")
Magic
Jin-Roh the wolf brigade
The Bat
The Land that Time Forgot/The People...
Del Tenney Double Feature: The Horror of Party Beach/The Curse of the Living Corpse
The monster that challenged the world/IT! The terror from beyond space

Weird Cinema 15 Freaky Flicks:the terror of tiny town/child bride/Hitler:dead or alive/Bill and Coo/chained for life/glen or glenda/mesa of lost women/the killer shrews/teenagers from outer space/night tide/carnival of souls/wild guitar/the sadist/santa claus conquers the martians/spider baby
- A couple of duplicates for me here, but I figure it was worth it for the rest!

Dracula's Daughter/Son of Dracula
Count Yorga/The return of Count Yorga
Attack of the Super Monsters
- Yay!
Space Amoeba
Latitude Zero
- TOHO 4-ever...*sigh* Thumbup
The Sinbad Collection: Golden voyage/eye of the tiger/7th voyage
Mill Creek - Tales of Terror 50 pack
The Skull(1965 Lee/Cushing)
- Does anyone know if this has any connection to The Screaming Skull(1958), which I love!? Haven't seen this one yet..

Some very nice ones you got! Magic, Spider Baby, Return of Count Yorga... Smile

No, I think THE SKULL was actually about The Marquis De Sade's skull, which makes people commit violent acts or something like that, if I am thinking of the same "skull"... Bluesad

Thanks, I spent my years movie-budget on that order but I got some real gems! ..Only one thing missing: time to watch them.. Out of the three mentioned I have heard the most appraisal for Magic, but I'm looking forward to all three of course.
Yes it seems you're thinking with, and of, the 'correct' skull  Wink - since that is the plot of the movie. But no 'Screaming Skull' connection I guess then... Bluesad

Speakin' of this years budget, I had to get these today at discount prices:
The Last Detail

DEADLY PURSUIT (SHOOT TO KILL:USA) 1988

I've kept forgetting to buy this, as I've seen it twice on Tv and thought it was brilliant. I finally purchased it, basic plot rundown;

A man is discovered breaking into his own jewelery shop in the dead of night. Questioned closely, it is learnt that his wife is being held hostage by an extortionist who demands the diamonds in the shop's safe. The extortionist manages to escape FBI agent Warren Stantin, who subsequently chases him into the forests of Northern America. Stantin recruits the help of a reluctant local Jonathon Knox, who has the skills necessary to track down the criminal. The only problem is that Stantin has no experience in the wilderness...

The scene with the moose is great...

The WHOLE Puppetmaster series!  So bad but so hilariously awesome... actually I got it for free because I bought a decapitor (or something, he was in part 4 and 5) for my BF, they have some awesome sale at Full Moon.com, I think it only lasts for yesterday and today though.

this makes me happy...

Latest batch:

The Flesh Eaters - old B&W movie I saw on TV a while back and loved
Bloodlines - can't even remember why I ordered this or what it's about;  Must have read a good review
Evil Unleashed: The Mummy - sounded like there was a chance this might be a fun B movie
Curse of the Devil - "Good old Spanish Cheese" - Some guy on Amazon
Countess Dracula / The Vampire Lovers - "copius boobies!" - RCMerchant
The Night of the Werewolf - sounds like a good Gothic horror movie

STAYING ALIVE (1983)

I love this disastrous sequel to Saturday Night Fever, directed by Sylvester Stallone and featuring brilliant music by his brother Frank. The final scene at the end, where the dancers perform "Satan's Alley" is an awesome slice of 80s cheese. A very misunderstood film that should be judged on it's own and not by it's predecessor.

I haven't been buying hardly any DVD's over the last few months due to some clash flow problems.

I am planning however to pick up Iron Man at the end of this month along with The Incredible Hulk in October and The Dark Knight in November.

A friend of mine who has a net flix account has been getting in tons of cheesy movies and just burning them off for me so I've been getting plenty of stuff lately, just not buying it that's all.    Wink

Bog Creatures - This sounds so good, I mean, you've got bogs, and creatures.  How could that not be fantastic?  But all the reviews said it sucked really bad.  So I finally found a review that said it wasn't too bad, and I ordered it immediately  TeddyR

City of the Dead (1961) - Looks like a very atmospheric horror movie.  Some reviewer called it a "perennial Halloween favorite", and Halloween is just a little ways off, so it's a no brainer.
