I used a gift card to pick up these two (three) movies this week:

This was suggested to me and I couldn't pass giant robots, even if they're not so great.

This movie used to play on cable all the time and I'd watch it whenever I could catch it.

I remember Space Truckers saw it on Showtime I think in '97 with Canadian Bacon.

Spartacus: War of the Damned and so it ends.

After quite a long hiatus from buying any movies (I have too many as it is) I broke and picked up some blu rays.

Thief-Just released on criterion blu ray and being one of my favorite movies I just needed to grab this up. Completely happy I did as a quick glance shows that they have done an astonishing remastering making the old dvd irrelevant. Also included are a couple cool 2013 interviews.
The Island of Dr Moreau (1996) Haven't seen this since I was a kid looking forward to watching this one.
also The Last Samurai and There Will be Blood.
