I found it wonderful and it brought back some memories of just how bizarre a film this was(and still is). Martine Beswicke as the Queen Of Evil is stunningly gorgeous here! Smile

I almost bought that when the DVD came out. I'll have to see it someday.

Oh, Rev. Have fun with THE PIT. It became an instant classic for me when I first watched it.

It's certainly worth checking out for the cast alone.

The Searchers

If this is the 1956 John Ford-John Wayne film, then anybody interested in the film may be interested in Glenn Frankel's The Searchers : the Making of an American Legend, which begins with the kidnapping of Cynthia Ann Parker in 1836, upon which the film is based. Then it covers the history of her son Quanah Parker. And then it covers the 1954 western novel The Searchers by Alan Lemay which is based upon the kidnapping and which was the basis of the film. Before it gets into the film and the people who made it. And then concludes with what effect the film had after it was released.
