well i bought the 4K versions of Field of Dreams, Dances with Wolves 4K and that's got both versions on it actually the one i bought was the steel book that apparently it says they only made 10,000 of them i have no idea what number mine is though. and the 2009 remake of Friday the 13th which i honestly think is better than the Elm Street one, i paid $8.00 bucks so it's not that bad  of a price.

the remake of Friday the 13th isn't a great film by any means and i haven't seen it in years, it's got an extended cut on it that i'm curious if it's better??? but i will say this compared to the elm street remake that one just had me bored. i dunno why it just did

I picked up this movie because I was bored, wanted a horror movie, and the cover art looked decent enough.

If you enjoyed how well Insidious was executively produced you'll probably enjoy the executive production on this movie as well.

This is a perfect 5 out of ten stars movie.  Not horrible enough to suck but not decent enough to actually be a good movie.  It was just kinda meh.

It's a standard "haunting" type movie that doesn't always follow it's own logic or make sense.  A dysfunction family received a little paper bag on their door with a poem and some candy in it.  The poem tell them that this is a "boo" and they have to pass it on to two people or else.

The father, begin a bible thumping christian that views Halloween as a pagan holiday burns the note declaring that there's no other ghost besides the Holy Ghost.  So naturally an evil spirit comes to haunt them.

Honestly, you're not really cheering for the family at any point.  The dad is a chain smoking bible thumper.  The daughter smokes, has tattoos, leaves her brother home alone and cusses at her parents.   The mother drinks, chain smokes, and self medicates.  The younger son, the one who is most freaked out about the poem obsessively draws creepy and gorey pictures and hangs them on his wall along with mutilated dolls.  (Nobody ever mentions this.  Not once.)

The also have a dog that shows up twice in the movie.  The first time is to let you know they have a dog.  The second time is to show the dog covered in blood and dying.

There's also the daughters boyfriend who isn't important to the plot and doesn't get involved in any of the haunting stuff.  Not sure why he was there.

It's not horrible, and if you need something to watch late at night, you could do worse.  You could also do a lot better.

Came today:

Heh heh heh. I saw this movie and just couldn't help wondering what happened to tbe special ring they had made for it.

Then I had a vision of a woman taking it out of a jewelry box and telling daughter "Your great grandmother starred in a movie once and she wore this ring that was made just for her to wear in it. "

My roommate is scouring the pawn shops and second hand stores for "Ghost Dad" for me.

I had no desire to see it until recently...
