Have you seen the documentary NEW YORK DOLL about the rather surprising later life of bassist Arthur "Killer" Kane?

It's one of my favorite documentaries of recent years.

No, missed that one, but maybe I'll luck out watching IFC, they show all sorts of wonderful documentaries and independent films.

[/i]Bat Out Of Hell II: Back In Hell [/i] was that all music composed by Jim Steinman?  That record is out of print?  I think MEATLOAF is hugely underappreciated.
ROXY MUSIC:  There is a collection available, but I'm not overfond of all the selections.  I burned a three volume collection for a good friend of mine.  Send me your email; I'll email you some ROXY MUSIC.  If you want a place to start, I would recommend Country Life.  If you have a pulse, you will love this record.

Bat Out of Hell 2 is actually in print and they released a deluxe remastered 2 disc edition about 5 or 6 years ago that I have of it.  Jim Steinman wrote, arranged and produced the album whereas the 1st Bat Out of Hell was written by Jim Steinman but produced by Todd Rundgren.

As for the Roxy Music e-mail option, I only right now have internet access at work as I got all of my home stuff (cable, land phone line, high speed internet bundle) canceled at the moment in an effort to maximize funds so that's not an option at the moment for me though I greatly appreciate the offer.

The FYE down the road from where I work has both Country Life and a recent best of used for 6.99 a piece so I'll probably just pick those up.

Talking Heads - Fear of Music
Good choice, a great album, and an important one, I think.  I wrote a review over at Amazon; I only write reviews when I really like an album!

Oh! And I'm listening to Martin Denny's "Quiet Village."

THE B-52's   "Time Capsule: Songs for a Future Generation"
Had to look this up...man, I've had so many records that are now gone and I guess I'm getting old...I had the album the song "Song for a Future Generation" came off of (WHAMMY! their third LP)  also hard to find thru Amazon, which is why I was wrong about Bat Out Of Hell II!

The girls sing: "Wanna be the Daughter of Dracula!"
The boys sing: "Wanna be the Son of Frankenstein!"
They all sing: " Let's meet and have a baby now...!  Now!  Now!"

Just added WHAMMY! to my Amazon cart.

Right now, listening to CHET BAKER My Funny Valentine

I picked up that B-52's CD used a couple of weeks ago for only 5 bucks.  I wasn't planning on picking it up that day but saw it sitting there.  I liked them a lot back in the day and the CD is remastered and covers their whole career up until 1998.

The FDA has been looking for a generic name for Viagra. After careful consideration by a team of government experts, it recently announced that it has settled on the generic name of Mycoxafloppin. Also considered were Mycoxafailin, Mydixadrupin, Mydixarizin, Dixafix, and of course, Ibepokin.
