The Ultimate Run DMC- I love it.  It's 18 of Run DMC's best songs.

I might not have been able to enjoy them in the '80s, but I certainly like them now.

I've got a 2 disc Aretha Franklin anthology that is fantastic and covers her entire career.

I've got very eclectic tastes when it comes to music and movies.

Paul's Boutique by The Beastie Boys.  I like it, actually.  A bit of a departure from their debut album, which was rock/rap.  This is more of a R&B/Rap type album.  But honestly, I think they're one of the most talented musical groups of the past 20 years, especially considering some of the bands currently sitting atop the charts.  I just think it's dumb they came out with an instrumental album.

Family Music Party by Trout Fishing In America.

They're this folk rock type duo, who not only does music for adults, but children as well.  Really good group.

Inspired by Bela (RCMerchant's) thread about Country Music, I'm re-acquainting myself with an old favorite, a 2 disc collection I've had for at least 15 years: HANK WILLIAMS 40 Greatest Hits and have sampled on my own mixes for many years.  An old friend loved Hank and many years ago gave me original 78s that I still have, and luckily I have a Victrola to listen to them and long ago realized that Hank was awesome and luckily bought the now out-of-print CD collection.

And I Feel Fine. ..The Best of the I.R.S. Years 1982-1987 by R.E.M.

Good album.  Features 21 songs by REM, including "Begin the Begin", "Pretty Persuasion", "Driver 8", and "(Dont' Go Back To) Rockville".
