Though ever'body bought it, this album was not so well received in its day, probably because it's not as "hard" as its two predecessors.  Despite my love for LED ZEPPELIN I, I always thought this was their first mature record:
LED ZEPPELIN III

"Her face is cracked from smilin' all the fears that she's been hidin' and it seems that pretty soon ever' body's gonna know..."

EDIT: I'm listening to "That's The Way" which is definitely one of my favorite LED ZEP songs, but the first album still rates my own favorite (though I think the fourth album is their overall best.)

Anyone know a good Frank Zappa album to start with, by the way?  I've kinda wanted to get into his stuff.  I didn't want to start a new thread.

Hot Rats (which is mostly instrumentals) Burnt Weeny Sandwich, Weasels Ripped My Flesh, Chunga's Revenge are all places worth starting... Uncle Meat is probably Zappa's most highly regarded and important record... it's sort of like the kind of "crap" I listen to: CAPTAIN BEEFHEART but a bit more accessible.

Burnt Weeny Sandwich?  I saw it at the mall.  But I've only heard a few songs by him.  I'll probably pick it up Monday when I head out, if they still have it.

I don't think they have Captain Beefheart.
