One of my favorite albums from the guys in plaid.  Dicky Barret's gravel screaming in "Whats At Stake?" nearly burns a hole right through the cd.  Great stuff.

UHF Motion Picture Soundtrack- Cause it's a good movie with a decent soundtrack.

Life Goes On by Loose Cannons- I've posted this a few times, but cannot recommend anything higher than this.  Great album by a lesser known duo.

BTW, I got to see The Police live in Charlotte, NC on Thursday night 11/15/07.

Talk about freakin' incredible. Been wanting to see them live most of my life and I finally got my chance last night!

A fellow English Beat fan?  Karma for that!

Also, I had no idea that The Police were here in NC!!!!  I'm only about 3 hrs from Charlotte now and would have loved to see The Police live.

Yeah, I've been a fan of English Beat ever since I was a little kid in the early 80's. I need to get the reissued and remastered editions of their 3 albums at some point. but this greatest hits collection is cool as you can load it in a computer and watch some of their videos as well.

The Police were in the fairly new Charlotte Bobcats sports arena.  I really prefer it to the old Colliseum. I live in Roanoke, VA so Charlotte is awesome to see shows in as it's only about a 2 1/2 hour drive the way I drive.

Listening now to Christopher Young's score for Urban Legend, which is exactly what you'd expect: Energetic and unsurprising, like the movie.

Nathan, I have been meaning to ask you where you get all these film scores and what must be obscure album covers (and I don't mean Urban Legend)?

Alarm Will Sound - Acoustica

My favorite discovery of the last few months.  An avant-garde classical orchestra scores the music of electronica's Aphex Twin.  Sample.
