I've been known to listen to Corelli or Vivaldi in the same sitting with Iron Maiden or Megadeth.   BounceGiggle

Music to me is visceral.  It gets inside and moves somehow.

I followed up Tom Jones with Slayer today so I'm right there with you on eclectic musical tastes.

My mom's a huge June Christy fan.  I'm going to get her to burn some of her stuff off for me at some point.
Your Mom's got something there Torgo... I meant it when I commented This Time Of Year is one of the very best records ever... all original songs

I listen to anything that's good, but I don't assume I've found everything... there's always something new and wonderful to discover, though I do lean so much to the blues it's practically Swamp Rock.
Right now listeing to my own "horrible" mix: The best of CAPTAIN BEEFHEART

I've been listening to a string of John Williams scores:  Amistad, Sleepers, and The Poseidon Adventure.

Though a very great album, perhaps not as great as, say JUNE CHRISTY's immortal This Time Of Year, JOSE FELICIANO's Feliz Navidad is without doubt one of the greatest Christmas albums of the 20th century... an amazing record Smile

Right now I'm listening to a compilation of 21 different versions of "Quiet Village," including Henry Mancini, Lalo Schifrin, Don Tiare, two versions by Les Baxter, and FOUR by Martin Denny.

I have MARTIN DENNY's best known arrangement included on INSTRUMENTAL GOLD, a collection which an annoying friend of mine likes to point out I bought by telephone at her home late one night... mainly to acquire gems like "Quiet Village" or "Ebb Tide" or "Canadian Sunset" or "Wonderland By Night"...

I'm happy to report that I've got Denny's Quiet Village album on LP.  A pristine disc, too.  Some days, the thrift store gods are kind.
