Torgo is an RBF fan?  I'd never have guessed it.

I'm an RBF fan from way back.  Everything after "Why Do They Rock So Hard?" was pitiful.  Saw them live about a year and a half ago down in Myrtle Beach.  It was a hell of a show.

I like their stuff though I wouldn't call myself a massive fan. I in fact forgot that I had this CD and brought it with me to work today to listen to.   I also used to have their CD where the cover was a girl pointing a gun at a dude or something.

A friend of mine is a massive fan of theirs and he has the same assessment of them that they went way downhill after this CD.

That would be "Turn The Radio Off".  I have a fondness for Radio and feel it to be their best album.  After "Why Do They Rock So Hard?" the third-wave ska movement died.  RBF turned to a more traditional sound with their later releases.  If you're even a moderate fan of them, I recommend picking up the live album they put out about a year or two ago.  It's a double disc with a DVD of a live performance for about 10.00.  Great deal.

Ethan Iverson Trio - Deconstruction Zone (Standards)

Sample: All of Me

AHD - MMT's not one of my absolute faves, but I do like "I Am the Walrus," "Blue Jay Way" and "Baby You're a Rich Man."  I also have an E. Power Biggs Bach album, with a slightly different selection of pieces.  Great stuff!

One Fierce Beer Coaster by Bloodhound Gang

Even Worse by Weird Al Yankovic

Everyone I know hates both bands/artists. Question

I like only a couple of songs by Bloodhound Gang but I've always been a big fan of Weird Al.

Just watched UHF for the umpteenth time a few nights ago as a matter of fact.

I've got my full music collection shuffling.  Right now it's Skip Martin playing some crime jazz; before that was a track from Trent Reznor's Quake soundtrack; before that was a track from Leonard Rosenman's score to the animated Lord of the Rings; before that was George Winston's "Variations on the Kanon by Pachelbel"; before that "Negligee" by Ferrante and Teicher.

Whoop, before I was done typing, I moved on to a track from Bernard Herrmann's score to Torn Curtain.

I felt the BHG's 2nd and 3rd albums were their best.  The first and fourth were okay but not their best.

I'm a bit obsessed with Al, but not enough to like, stalk or anything.  I got into a discussion about him with somebody who doesn't like Al cause he parodies people (even though he also writes his own material), yet the guy will watch SNL/MadTV/Spoof movies which essentially do the same thing.  I guess cause Al profits directly from the parodies.  I'm not entirely certain.

Happy,

Use Your Fingers and One Fierce Beer Coaster are my favorite of BHG's work.  I didn't care for much of anything they have done since Beer.

I like Use Your Fingers.  But I felt that "Hooray For Boobies" is still a great album.  Shame they took like, 5 years off before doing a new cd.  They get played alot on the radio around here.
