Joe the Destroyer

Lately, all I've been listening to is Protest the Hero.  I think I dropped their name last time, but I just can't get their stuff out of my head!  Wretch is such a badass song, too.

Ancient Egypt: A Tribute - Ali Jihad Racy

This is the music composed to accompany the exhibit of King Tut's treasures when they toured the US in the late 1970s.  Not entirely succesful to my ears, more a curiosity than anything.

Sample: Funeral Procession

The Residents - Demons Dance Alone

I'm starting to itch for more Residents stuff all of a sudden.  I go through phases with this group, and unfortunately I've sold off a few things I wish I still had.  I used to own a very nice copy of the limited brown vinyl LP of Mark of the Mole; the cover was silk screened and autographed.

No idea who this band is, but the name and album cover made me laugh, especially because my fantasy football team name is "The Miracle of Beef."

It's the drummer from Tool (Danny Carey) who was playing when this band when Tool hit it big.  He came back to the band during a break between Tool albums and started playing drums for them again.  They're actually really cool and better than Tool in a lot of respects.
