There are very few candies I won't eat, but my favorites are gum, startbursts, and sour patch kids.

I can't bring myself to eat Peeps anymore after watching things like this : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zpZQIOmBY_c

This past Easter I bought some Peeps for the first time since I was about 9 or 10 (so about 28 - 29 years). I took one bite and spit it out. I threw the rest out untouched. YUCK.

The FDA has been looking for a generic name for Viagra. After careful consideration by a team of government experts, it recently announced that it has settled on the generic name of Mycoxafloppin. Also considered were Mycoxafailin, Mydixadrupin, Mydixarizin, Dixafix, and of course, Ibepokin.

I remember as a kid, my mother refused to buy this for me because it was just pure sugar. Of course, multiple boxes of candy cigarettes and cigar-shaped gum was ok with her.

Years ago, I went through a Gummi Bear phase. I'd get the big huge bags from Costco and just eat them by the handful.

My kids went to the store with their dad today and came back with this stuff!  I hadn't seen this in years, I had no idea it was still around.  I wonder if I could find some Charleston Chews also?

i think i've seen charlston chews at the dollar store. But check out that hometownfavorites.com link i posted - you can find almost any candy there that is retro. They specialize in selling candy that is sold regionally and not easy to find (as well as food) and are very responsive if you sen an email inquiry.

I was trying to see if mortons donuts was still in business, they did the research for me and alas...my journey ended. They also have a list of retired candy no longer made. But it's a great site if you want to get some hard to find food, or maybe make a gift box for someone with some retro candy..i keep meaning to do that someday

Black licorice
Peanut M&MS
Three Musketeers
Mars Bar
and my personal favorite, so much so that I don't get them too often, I'd go broke, See's Dark Chocolate Covered Cherries.

Did you know that the smell of black licorice is an aphrodisiac?

There are certain flavors that I love. My top three being Watermelon, Cherry and Apple. I will eat almost any candy that has one of these flavors, whether it be a jelly bean, a gumdrop, a hard candy, a gummi or something else.

What are everyone's favorite flavors in a candy?

Snivelly, I wouldn't be too concerned.  Ash is just used to it being all of us guys on here.  It was not until recently that a number of female posters started showing up.  The change threw us all for a loop.  Dennis had to get used to wearing clothes, I started keeping the door to my room locked, and Menard...okay, well, Menard still urinates wherever he wants, but the rest of us are trying.

Oh, and Peter Johnson reduced his intake of William Shatner films by 50%.  Tell me that is not making an effort!

The Shat was on Conan O'Brien Monday 5/14/07 BTW. It was hilarious as usual.  They did the "The Future to the year 2000" thing with Shatner.  Haven't laughed that hard in quite a while.   TeddyR
