trying to remember a reallllly bad movie

Hiya,

I'm trying to remember a movie that I saw as a teen on USA back in the day on their Friday Nite Fright nites.  It was about a family that was trapped in their house by a metallic dome and the only thing that was on their TV was a strange symbol, and green ooze was coming into the house via the fireplace.  Please if anyone can remember this gem I would appreciate it!

Kind of sounds like the Hammer film Child's Play, which had a family stuck in a house one morning with it getting hotter and hotter and in the end it turns out they are actually dolls in a dolls house that's been left next to a fire.

I think felgekarp has it: if I remember, this was an episode of "Hammer House Of Mystery and Suspense".

I believe our two posters have it.  This is "Child's Play" from "Hammer House of Mystery & Suspense."  Also, if I remember correctly, the ooze is a candy bar that is melting.
