THE CREEPING FLESH (1973) - First time I saw this film all the way through and when I did see parts I didn't know I was watching THE CREEPING FLESH.  Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee star as half brothers involved with research in the sciences. Peter Cushing brings back a giant skeleton from New Guinea. Then there is this side story of his mentally ill wife who's he's keeping secret from his daughter. All the while the wife is kept under his half brothers care in an asylum. Anyway the skeleton grows flesh when water touches it and the half brothers are competing for scientific recognition. This isn't a Hammer film, but the sets are similarly set in the Victorian age. They could have done a little more with the creature as far as it's history and background to make it more menacing.

Thumbup (7 out of 10 Stars) I'm being generous because I like the skeleton, creature, and the leading actors.

I'd really like to see this one again. I only saw it once when I was about ten or so. I'd like to give it another shot now that I've developed more patience and a greater appreciation for such films.

The FDA has been looking for a generic name for Viagra. After careful consideration by a team of government experts, it recently announced that it has settled on the generic name of Mycoxafloppin. Also considered were Mycoxafailin, Mydixadrupin, Mydixarizin, Dixafix, and of course, Ibepokin.

Oh, I've seen this!  I remember it wasn't as creepy as it could have been, you're right about how they missed a chance to really make something of the creature.  Good flick though, I'd watch it again.

Saw this again a couple of months ago and  thought it held up quite well.  I'd give it a 7/10 too.

Buggedout  This movie scared the absolute bejeesus out of me as a kid. I must see it again so I can remember why the damned skeleton in a raincoat visited my childhood dreams for years after I saw it. It IS this movie, not the FLESH EATERS like I was told. I KNEW it was the CREEPING FLESH!

I remember it having a really cool premise with the monstrous skeleton and all that, but then - nothing happened!
